Alex De Minaur vs. Daniil Medvedev Predictions, Odds, Betting Tips

⭐ Medvedev -4.5 games (+110) at FanDuel

Daniil Medvedev appears to be in some of the best form of his career on hard courts. He's 31-3 on the surface this season and is 26-1 since February. He's cruised so far in Toronto, beating Matteo Arnaldi (6-2, 7-5) and Lorenzo Musetti (6-4, 6-4) in straight sets. Now, he will prepare for Alex De Minaur, who has been strong on hard courts in his own right, beating No. 11 seed Cameron Norrie and No. 8 Taylor Fritz.

Medvedev owns a 4-1 series advantage over De Minaur, and we expect more of the same on Friday. We're taking Medvedev -4.5 games (+110) at FanDuel. We expect Medvedev to overwhelm De Minaur with his power during baseline rallies, Medvedev also has the bigger serve and advantage there, so expect more free points for him off serve.

De Minaur has been great so far during this North American hard court swing, but he's struggled against players of this caliber. He lost to Stefanos Tsitsipas in the finals at the Los Cabos Open, and we don't see him being able to give Medvedev too many issues.

Best Betting Pick: ⭐ Medvedev -4.5 games (+110) at FanDuel

Carlos Alcaraz vs. Tommy Paul: Predictions, Odds, Betting Tips

⭐ Alcaraz 2-0 (-175) at BetMGM

There's been a little more adversity for Carlos Alcaraz in Toronto than was likely expected. He was far from his best against Ben Shelton and dropped the first set against Hubert Hurkacz on Thursday before rallying for a three-set victory. Despite not being at his peak recently, he has still been tallying wins. He's now 49-4 this season and 12-1 on hard courts.

Now Alcaraz will face Tommy Paul, who topped Alcaraz in the 2022 Canadian Open, winning 6-7, 7-6, 6-3. Despite Paul's win last year, we like Alcaraz 2-0 (-175) at BetMGM and to win this in straight sets. Alcaraz has continued to improve his level year after year, and the World No. 1 continues to elevate his game.

Paul has played well in 2023 with a 34-18 record and 18-7 mark on hard courts, but we don't see him giving Alcaraz much trouble, resulting in a straight-sets victory for the Spaniard.

Best Betting Pick: Alcaraz 2-0 (-175) at BetMGM

Gael Monfils vs. Jannik Sinner Predictions, Odds, Betting Tips

⭐ Sinner 2-0 (-125) at FanDuel

Gael Monfils deserves credit for his career resurgence. After returning following a wrist injury at the French Open, Monfils is in his first Masters quarterfinal since the 2021 Canadian Open. He topped Stefanos Tsitsipas in straight sets earlier in the tournament to highlight he still has the ability to knock off the top-ranked players in the world.

Despite Monfils' success, we're going against him in this spot against Jannik Sinner. We're taking Sinner 2-0 (-125) at FanDuel to win in straight sets. Sinner is 22-5 on hard courts this season and should be fresh for this matchup. He topped Matteo Berrettini in straight sets to open the tournament (6-4, 6-3) and then advanced on a walkover due to Andy Murray withdrawing.

Questions about Monfils' fitness this far in the tournament are fare. Sinner should have the conditioning advantage due to being more fresh, and has the ability to overwhelm Monfils during baseline rallies.

Best Betting Pick: Sinner 2-0 (-125) at FanDuel
