NHL Predictions Today: NHL Picks & NHL Odds for 11/17:

The end of the week is upon us, and everyone continues working for the weekend. With a simpler schedule, we hand out four NHL Picks this Friday night . There are three games on the slate, and two air live via NHL Network. Once again, Friday afternoon features a matinee from Sweden between Toronto and Detroit. It feels like there are always NHL hockey bets to be made.

Alright, the best online betting sites, including Caesars, DraftKings, BetMGM, and FanDuel. BetMGM have provided some of the latest updates on Friday morning. It is time to get into the Friday night NHL predictions

NHL Picks: Toronto vs. Detroit Odds & NHL Predictions

⭐ No Goals In First Ten Minutes (+140) at DraftKings

The Toronto Maple Leafs and Detroit Red Wings play over in Sweden on Friday afternoon. The first game on Thursday afternoon saw nine goals as Ottawa could not hold a 4-0 lead. However, the Senators won in overtime behind their star forward, Tim Stutzle is now up to four goals and 16 assists on the season. More goals will come for the phenomenal talent. One interesting issue is the way the benches are set up. That led to some awkward line changes and some near-penalty calls for too many men on the ice. It is something to watch going forward.

Similar to Thursday, there are a few NHL Picks for this game that we like. The problem was Thursday started like a total dud. Even Pittsburgh laid an egg, but thankfully, New Jersey scored five times to help out on another Over.

Now, what does Detroit have left in their proverbial gas tanks? The Red Wings exhausted much effort in coming back against Ottawa yesterday. Yes, they are a younger team. However, Toronto is very well-rested. With a few schools of thought, some numbers throw us into quite a dilemma.

The most challenging decision here involves going back to the well one more time. Detroit will want to tighten things up defensively, while Toronto might not get their game going immediately. Taking the Under is not a bad move. Let’s take it further, as the No Goals In First Minutes is now +140 via DraftKings.

NHL Picks: Florida vs. Anaheim Odds & NHL Predictions

Anaheim Third Period Moneyline (+130) at FanDuel

Florida and Anaheim create a considerable amount of hesitation for the finale on this slate. For one, Anaheim has a penchant for coming back in games. They had done it in six of their first 15 contests this season. So, what else is there to look at here?

Oddly, one of the  NHL Picks we looked at for  Friday night was the Anaheim Ducks' third period. To keep the game even is at -152 via FanDuel for Anaheim seems easy. Then, there was the Ducks’ Moneyline against a tired Panthers team. That stands at +130 and represents an even more attractive wager.

With our top bets, at this point, Anaheim does not want to give up eight goals as they did to a ticked-off Colorado team. Anaheim should be able to kick things into gear during the third and final stanza.

⭐ Recommended Bet: Anaheim Third Period Moneyline (+130) at FanDuel

⭐ Mason McTavish Anytime Goal (+270) at Caesars

NHL Predictions offer us one last chance at salvation, err, another win, as we head into the weekend. Take the Mason McTavish anytime goal here at +270 via Caesars. McTavish has seven goals on the season and scored in his last home game versus San Jose. Also, he plays about 2-3 minutes more a game at home.

NHL Picks: Buffalo vs. Winnipeg Odds & NHL Predictions

⭐ Over 6.5 Goals (-115) at BetMGM

Buffalo and Winnipeg could be unexpectedly chaotic on Friday night. Winnipeg has a few significant injuries, and the Sabres are missing Tage Thompson, who is week-to-week with a lower-body injury. Some expect that to impact Buffalo quite a bit. However, do not sleep on Dylan Cozens, who figures to benefit from the absence of Thompson. Buffalo had a full two days off between games and now can get their lines straight against a Winnipeg team that can be very inconsistent themselves.

The free NHL picks with this game will focus more on the offensive side of the equation. Defensively, the Jets and Sabres are not particularly good. If Connor Hellebuyck is off in any way for Winnipeg, the Jets will have to outscore their defense. As for Buffalo, this team allows 3.7 goals per 60. That is a high number even in today’s NHL This can set us up later for some player props and more.

The NHL schedule gets a little irregular after Saturday for next week. Taking advantage of the few opportunities available is beneficial now. Look into Kyle Connor as a viable shot prop machine with our NHL best bets. Wait for a better number to appear after the morning skate. The Over of 3.5 shots is -110 via BetMGM. Also, the Over of 0.5 Powerplay points is a solid +135. Buffalo’s penalty kill is not as bad as Minnesota's, but they are less than 75% over their last ten games. Winnipeg is, too, by the way.

Buffalo and Winnipeg predictions go fishing around for a few more numbers to sink our claws into. It is a risk, but Winnipeg in 60 rolls in at -110. While the 60-minute draw is a possibility at +310, wait and see where the number lands before tossing a few dollars anywhere near that direction.

Among our best NHL bets today has to be the Over in this game. Both teams like to push the pace, and Buffalo is thin on their backend, while Winnipeg could be vulnerable on special teams. The reality is both teams are, which creates conditions ripe for goals. Could this game turn into a goalie duel like in Los Angeles last night? Anything is possible, but unless the referees take too much control, that is not likely. Again, roll with the Over of 6.5 goals between these two teams on Friday night.
