Hacksaw Gaming Secures Michigan’s Provisional Internet Gaming Supplier License

Software vendor Hacksaw Gaming is expanding its footprint in the North American online casino market by acquiring a provisional internet supplier license in the Great Lakes State. The license issued by the Michigan Gaming Control Board enables Hacksaw Gaming to distribute its catalog of games to licensed Michigan casinos online

So far, the developer has not shared any upcoming launches of its portfolio at any of the 15 licensed operators in the Wolverine State. Executives from Hacksaw did not hide their excitement for acquiring the license, emphasizing in the official press release that the provisional license is a significant achievement for the company, signaling future growth and eagerness to demonstrate the potential of Hacksaw Gaming’s repertoire of titles to Michigan players.

According to its official website, the game studio has a partnership deal with BetMGM. Additionally, DraftKings’ New Jersey online casino offers Hacksaw games. Considering DraftKings is licensed to offer its online gambling services in Michigan, it would not be a big surprise if the third-best online casino in the Wolverine State, according to revenue figures from the MGCB, extends the collaboration by disturbing Hacksaw gaming slots in Michigan.

Portfolio of Disruptive Games

Hacksaw Gaming offers over 120 games in over 300 online casinos in 20 regulated markets. Although the official announcement for the developer's entry into Michigan did not specify an official launch of games, it did mention two games from the diverse portfolio, more precisely, Wanted Dead or A Wild and Hand of Anubis. Both games have a reputation as flagship titles for the developer.

Wanted Dead or Wild harnesses a Wild West theme. The action occurs on a 5x5 grid with 25 paylines, offering a max win of 12,500x a player's bet. The RTP is 94.55%, accompanied by high volatility. The range of bonus features is standard, and the reel symbols include sheriff badges and bandit masks for a more authentic atmosphere.

The other slot, Hand of Anubis, embraces an ancient Egyptian theme with a similar RTP range of 94.32% and high volatility. The layout offers a 5x6 cluster pay grid with a 10,000x max win. In addition to slots, Hacksaw Gaming designs scratch cards and instant win games. Once the games arrive in local lobbies, no deposit bonus Michigan should become available.

Michigan Represents a Significant Market for Hacksaw Gaming

The provisional internet supplier license from the MGCB is the third such license acquired by Hacksaw Gaming in the US. In 2023, the software vendor secured an entry into the West Virginia and New Jersey markets.

Michigan is one of the seven regulated US iGaming markets, ranking second in the nation based on revenue numbers. In 2023, the 15 Michigan online casinos accumulated $1.9 billion in revenue, with FanDuel, BetMGM, and DraftKings controlling 70% of the market. The market is poised for growth in 2024, and Hacksaw Gaming plans to contribute.
