Houston Lotto Texas Ticket Worth $7.5m Still Unclaimed
A Lotto Texas ticket worth an estimated $7.5 million is still waiting to be claimed after matching all six numbers in the September 5 drawing.
The winning Quick Pick ticket, sold at Kroger 161 on Memorial Drive in Houston, matched 14, 17, 25, 26, 30 and 37, Texas Lottery.
What The Winner Will Take Home
The player selected the cash value option at the time of purchase, meaning they are eligible for $3,971,819.05 before taxes rather than the full annuitized $7.5 million jackpot, according to FOX 26 Houston, which cited Texas Lottery officials.
The ticket holder has 180 days from the draw date to come forward and claim the prize.
Under the Texas Lottery's Retailer Bonus Program, the Kroger location that sold the winning ticket may be eligible for a $25,000 bonus for selling a jackpot-winning ticket. As of publication, Texas Lottery officials say the prize remains unclaimed, and it is not yet known whether the winner has come forward privately since the drawing.
The Jackpot Keeps Rolling
Lotto Texas draws take place three times a week, and its jackpot rolls over and grows every time nobody matches all six numbers.
Texas Lottery's own results page shows the jackpot reset after the September 5 win and had climbed back up to an estimated $6 million by the September 16 drawing, with no winner yet on that fresh run, according to the lottery's official results.
Since 1997, the Texas Lottery has contributed more than $36.5 billion to the state's Foundation School Fund, which supports public education, including $1.78 billion in the 2025 fiscal year alone, according to the agency's own figures.
Lotto Texas is one of six in-house draw games the lottery runs alongside national multi-state games Powerball and Mega Millions.
