Sydney Sweeney Stars In New Novig Prediction Market Ad

Actress Sydney Sweeney has teamed up with sports prediction market Novig for a new brand campaign ahead of the NFL season's kickoff, and has joined the company as a strategic partner and equity holder.

The NFL season kicked off last week with the Seattle Seahawks beating the New England Patriots 13-10 in a repeat of Super Bowl LX.

The Campaign

In the ad, Sweeney poses with footballs, basketballs, and other sports equipment while repeating the phrase "just sports."

"Think you know sports? Prove it. Novig is just sports. So they wanted to show just sports," she says in the spot, before later adding, "You can't trade this. I just look good here," while posing on a pool table.

"The campaign was about embracing a fun idea. The concept is simple: cut through the noise and put the focus entirely on sports. The campaign brings that idea to life with confidence, humor and a playful edge," Sweeney said in a statement.

Why Novig Signed Her

"Sports fans deserve a prediction market built specifically for them," said Jacob Fortinsky, co-founder and CEO of Novig. "There are many places where people can engage with prediction markets across different categories.

"Our focus is sports, and by dedicating ourselves entirely to sports, we have built a better experience for fans. Sydney helped bring that message to life in a way that's impossible to ignore."

About Novig

Novig launched nationwide last month under a federally regulated framework, describing itself as combining the mechanics of modern financial exchanges with a sports-first experience for fans trading on sports outcomes.

The company says it is the only sports prediction market, which is different from traditional sportsbooks, to maintain a 21-plus age requirement, positioning that as a higher standard for responsible participation as the wider prediction-market category continues to grow.
