New Orleans Saints vs. New England Patriots Week 5 NFL Picks

The Saints offense has stalled out. After leading the Green Bay Packers 17-0 in Week 3, the Saints have scored just nine points in their last six quarters, losing 18-17 to Green Bay and falling 26-9 to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Derek Carr's status was questionable going into Week 4 and he didn't play well, completing just 23 of 37 passes for 127 yards.

The Patriots have struggled in their own right and are coming off a 38-3 beatdown to the Dallas Cowboys. Mac Jones was bad, throwing two interceptions and only throwing for 150 yards while converting on 12 of 21 passes. Jones was eventually pulled from the game.

With two offenses struggling this bad, we like the under in this game despite it being at a low total of 40. The last three Patriots games have gone under, while all four Saints games have gone under this season.

⭐ My Best Bet: Under 40 (-110) at BetMGM

⭐ Mac Jones Under 210.5 Passing Yards (-114) at FanDuel

Since Week 1 when Mac Jones threw for 316 yards against the Philadelphia Eagles, it's been a struggle for the New England quarterback. He's thrown more interceptions than touchdowns (three) than touchdowns (two) in the last three weeks and has thrown for just 582 yards in that span.

We are going with Mac Jones Under 210.5 Passing Yards (-114) at FanDuel. He had just 150 yards in the 38-3 loss to the Cowboys and completed only 12 of 21 passes and threw two interceptions. Jones was so bad that he was eventually pulled from the game for Bailey Zappe.

Besides Jones playing badly over the last three weeks, there's also the possibility he will be pulled again early on if the offense doesn't improve. This would be ideal for the under on his passing yards prop. Whether it's his poor form or a quick pull, there are numerous reasons to like the under on Jones' yardage prop.

⭐ Best Betting Pick: Mac Jones Under 210.5 Passing Yards (-114) at FanDuel

⭐ Rhamondre Stevenson Under 51.5 Rushing Yards (-114) at FanDuel

The Patriots have one of the worst-running attacks in the league. New England ranks 23rd in rushing yards with 374 and 28th in yards per carry (3.4). The Patriots simply can't run the ball with any consistency.

We're going with Rhamondre Stevenson Under 51.5 Rushing Yards (-114) at FanDuel. Stevenson got numerous opportunities against the Cowboys, getting 14 carries but managed just 30 yards. He's also banged up with a thigh injury, practicing only in a limited fashion this week.

Stevenson has only gained at least 52 yards in one game this season, and that was 59 yards on 19 carries against the New York Jets in Week 3. In Stevenson's other three games, he has run for 25, 50 and 30 yards. The lack of production early this season has us leaning towards his under.

⭐ Best Betting Pick: Rhamondre Stevenson Under 51.5 Rushing Yards (-114) at FanDuel
