Aristocrat's Lightning Link Slot Makes Online Debut Across North America

One of the biggest names on the casino floor has finally made the jump online. Aristocrat Interactive confirmed in a statement on July 23 that Lightning Link, the Hold & Spin slot franchise that has anchored land-based casino floors for more than a decade, is now live on regulated legal online casinos across the United States and Canada.
The first title out is Lightning Link High Stakes, and it is already showing up inside the apps of some of the biggest operators in the market, including DraftKings, FanDuel and Hard Rock Bet.
DraftKings, FanDuel And Hard Rock Bet Already Live
Aristocrat Interactive CEO Dylan Slaney called it a full-scale network launch "supported by the industry's largest operators," and the rollout backs that up.
Hard Rock Bet Casino has High Stakes running in New Jersey and Michigan already, while DraftKings Casino paired the launch with a marketing push built around slot streamer Brian Christopher, kicking off with a live broadcast from Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut on July 23. That version reaches DraftKings Casino players in Connecticut, Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Ontario.
DraftKings and Golden Nugget, in particular, have added Lightning Link spins to their welcome offer to new users:
FanDuel Casino has taken a different route, running a standing promo through August 13 that hands players 15 bonus spins, worth $0.20 apiece, once they wager at least $50 on High Stakes in a single day.
Aristocrat says more Lightning Link titles are on the way for other platforms in the coming months, so this is unlikely to be the only rollout operators will see across the franchise this year.
What High Stakes Brings To The Reels
High Stakes carries over the mechanics that made Lightning Link a fixture on casino floors since 2015.
Cash values can land directly on the reels during the base game, six or more chip symbols trigger a Hold & Spin round with three respins, and landing three or more scatters merges the center reels into one oversized symbol during Free Games. Four progressive jackpot tiers sit on top, topped by a Grand that only pays if a player fills the entire screen during Hold & Spin.
The visual theme has not changed either. Aristocrat built High Stakes around a neon Las Vegas backdrop, with roulette wheels, poker chips and playing-card royals filling out the reels.
Aristocrat's Bet On Its Biggest Land-Based Brand
The timing matters.
Aristocrat has spent the past few years pushing its land-based hits into the regulated iGaming market through Aristocrat Interactive, the unit formed in 2024 out of Anaxi and the former NeoGames, Aspire Global, BtoBet and Pariplay businesses.
Lightning Link is the company's biggest brand yet to make that jump, and it lands in a market where operators are constantly hunting for exclusive or first-to-platform content to pull players toward online slots.
Aristocrat has also been aggressively defending that content.
Earlier this year, it settled a lawsuit with rival Light & Wonder for $127.5 million over claims that Light & Wonder used Aristocrat's mathematical models from the Dragon Link series in its own Dragon Train and Jewel of the Dragon titles. Light & Wonder admitted to using the models, deleted the material, and agreed not to use it again, though the settlement terms were not fully disclosed.
Playing Slots Responsibly
For now, the rollout is limited to Lightning Link High Stakes, but the operator lineup already covers most of the regulated iGaming map, and Aristocrat has been clear that more titles from the franchise are coming.
