Hard Rock Casino Tejon Names Mike Bean As Property President

The Tejon Indian Tribe and Hard Rock Casino Tejon have named Mike Bean as the property's president, the tribe and casino announced in a joint statement on September 28.
Bean joins Hard Rock Casino Tejon, in Mettler, California, after serving as CEO of Morongo Casino Resort & Spa in Riverside County, where he oversaw operations at the tribe's casino and its adjacent property, Casino Morongo, near Palm Springs.
In his new role as property president, Bean will oversee the Kern County casino's next phase of development, including a planned multi-story hotel expansion at the Mettler site.
What The Appointment Brings
Hard Rock Casino Tejon opened as the Tejon Indian Tribe's first gaming property, built in partnership with Hard Rock International, whose branding and hospitality operations the tribe licenses for the venue.
Hard Rock is also one of the country's leading online casino operators.
The appointment comes as the property works through the buildout of its second development phase, expanding beyond its existing gaming floor with additional hotel and entertainment infrastructure.
Leadership Background
Bean brings tribal gaming management experience from Morongo, one of Southern California's larger tribal casino operations, where he was responsible for the resort's casino floor, hotel and entertainment programming.
His move to Tejon puts him in charge of a newer property still scaling up its non-gaming amenities, a transition several tribal gaming executives have made as California's tribal casino sector continues to expand hotel and resort capacity around existing gaming floors.
Neither the tribe nor Hard Rock Casino Tejon set a timeline for the hotel phase in the announcement.
