NFL Draft Preview: Top 10 Picks Predictions

Welcome to one of the more chaotic times of the year in the NFL world. That is correct. The three-day NFL Draft starts on Thursday night in Kansas City, Missouri. Some big questions have arisen as to who will go number one. Insert a Will Levis rumor and watch panic ensue. Add in some shifts in needs, and then there are possible trades too.

Bluntly, staying vigilant with social media on the latest news is essential. Again, news happens fast and travels even quicker. Expect a good deal of back and forth on the picks as we are more than 24 hours away from the start of the draft.

Thanks to Bryce Derouin, Kevin Spain, Steve Ruddock, Larry Henry, and the Gambling.com team for our video below. This has been quite a fun adventure. Check out Bryce Derouin's picks to see how we differ.

Predicting the Top 10 Picks for the 2023 NFL Draft

  1. Bryce Young - Alabama - QB - Carolina
  2. Will Anderson - Alabama - EDGE - Houston
  3. Tyree Johnson - Texas Tech - EDGE - Arizona
  4. C.J. Stroud - Ohio State - QB - Indianapolis
  5. Jalen Carter - Georgia - DL - Seattle
  6. Devon Witherspoon - Illinois - CB - Detroit
  7. Christian Gonzalez - Oregon - CB - Las Vegas
  8. Bijan Robinson - Texas - RB - Atlanta
  9. Paris Johnson Jr. - Ohio St. - OT - Chicago
  10. Nolan Smith - Georgia - EDGE - Philadelphia

Bryce Young Is Still Going No. 1 To Carolina

Yes, the Will Levis news on Tuesday shook the numbers around a good deal. It got pundits and fans speculating plenty. Naturally, Levis has stats NFL scouts love along with general managers. However, he also has considerable concerns and a few red flags on his resume. That can be said about lots of NFL prospects.

Bryce Young likely winds up getting drafted with the top pick.

Houston Still Not Certain What They Do At No. 2

Houston has three options with the second pick. Do they take a quarterback, Will Anderson Jr., or Tyree Johnson? Whatever they decide, they are getting quite the NFL-caliber player. Does the defensive-minded DeMeco Ryans get his wish?

If the Texans go with defense, this is a coin-flip between Anderson and Johnson. Johnson is the in-state player who everyone, especially Houston, knows well. If the Alabama edge-rusher in Anderson gets picked, Houston makes a solid choice, as pressures and sacks would help a woeful defense. Anderson has the speed to make run-stop plays.

Some Other Toss-Ups In The Mix

Again, we mentioned it above. What does Indianapolis do at fourth? Does Detroit go running back unexpectedly at six or stay defensive? If no trades are made, Bijan Robinson should go inside the Top 10 to Detroit, Atlanta, or Philadelphia. Robinson could still go eighth to one of those three teams. Expect a little movement.

Chicago likes Paris Johnson Jr., and the Offensive Tackle makes a lot of sense with the Bears. Their quarterbacks need protection, and Johnson Jr. can create some running late too. If Philadelphia missed a few targets, Nolan Smith likely comes off the board at 10 to the Eagles.
