NFL Finalizes DraftKings, FanDuel Renewals Alongside Fanatics Deal

This story, originally published Aug. 18 on the Fanatics deal alone, has been updated below to reflect the full three-way renewal.

The NFL has confirmed that DraftKings and FanDuel also signed new multiyear betting marketing agreements, joining Fanatics as officially sanctioned sportsbook partners. None of the parties has disclosed financial terms, according to the NFL's own announcement.

Fanatics Betting and Gaming struck a new multi-year partnership with the NFL on Aug. 18, making Fanatics Sportsbook and Fanatics Casino two of what is now a three-operator group of officially sanctioned sports betting partners.

On Aug. 27, the NFL confirmed it had also renewed its marketing agreements with DraftKings Sportsbook and FanDuel Sportsbook, restoring a full slate of operators after the league's prior deals with DraftKings, FanDuel and Caesars Sportsbook lapsed earlier this year.

What The Partnerships Cover

Fanatics, DraftKings and FanDuel all gain marketing rights to NFL, team and marquee-event trademarks, plus hospitality and VIP access at events like the Super Bowl and the NFL Draft. All three also get access to real-time official league data, Next Gen Stats and the BetVision product through Genius Sports, the NFL's exclusive data distribution partner.

DraftKings also remains the league's Official Daily Fantasy Sports Partner, a role it has held since 2019, and Fanatics adds an Official Online Casino Marketing Partner designation on top of its sportsbook deal.

Fanatics Sportsbook currently operates in 22 states and Washington, D.C., while Fanatics Casino is live online in Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

A Renewal Years In The Making

The NFL began the year without an official sportsbook after its prior deals with DraftKings, FanDuel, and Caesars Sportsbook expired. Fanatics' Aug. 18 agreement filled part of that gap, and Sports Business Journal's Bill King, who first reported the Fanatics deal, wrote at the time that the rising cost of official streaming data from Genius Sports was the key sticking point holding up DraftKings' and FanDuel's own renewals.

Both operators resolved those terms by Aug. 27, when the NFL announced the completed three-way renewal alongside Fanatics. Caesars Sportsbook, whose NFL deal also lapsed, has not signed a new agreement and does not currently hold official league marketing rights.

Executives React To The Completed Renewal

"We are thrilled to have three world-class partners in the sports betting category," said Renie Anderson, the NFL's executive vice president and chief revenue officer. "DraftKings, FanDuel and Fanatics share our vision for innovation and fan engagement, but most importantly, our commitment to protecting the integrity of the game."

DraftKings chief marketing officer Stephanie Sherman and FanDuel president Christian Genetski both pointed to the operators' multi-year history with the league in confirming their renewals, while Fanatics Betting and Gaming chief executive Matt King framed the expanded deal as part of a push to make Fanatics "a true digital sports platform" spanning betting, casino, and NFL fan engagement.

ESPN also reported that the NFL is keeping its distance from prediction markets for now, with Anderson saying league data and marks will not extend to those products.

Building On Existing Relationships

This was not Fanatics' first tie-up with the NFL. The company already holds an exclusive, long-term retail partnership with the league, announced in April 2026 and focused on merchandise and fan experience around the league's global marquee events. The new sportsbook and casino agreement extends that relationship into betting for the first time.
