Reality TV’s Lisa Vanderpump Opening Casino On Las Vegas Strip
Beginning in May, a renovated hotel-casino is scheduled to launch on the Las Vegas Strip under The Vanderpump Hotel branding. Reservations are being accepted now.
Named for reality television personality Lisa Vanderpump, the former Cromwell hotel-casino is being redesigned in collaboration with Caesars Entertainment. The British businesswoman’s many television appearances include starring as a main cast member on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” for nine years, beginning in 2010.
The boutique hotel-casino named for her on the Strip features 188 guest rooms and suites designed by her and business partner Nick Alain. The guest rooms feature “a beautiful mix of moss-green hues and touches of dusty lilac, creating a soothing palette with soft textures that encourage relaxation,” according to a news release from Caesars Entertainment.
“Our vision was to create a room that feels like a true retreat, a calming escape just steps from the energy and excitement of the casino floor," Vanderpump said. "The guest rooms are as beautiful as they are serene.”
The first available online reservations are for Friday, May 29, at $499. The prices fluctuate in June, with room rates as low as $139 for two Mondays during that month. Those dates are June 15 and June 29. The $139 rate also is available on June 30.

Famous Casino Location
The redesigned Vanderpump is at a location with a storied history on the Las Vegas Strip. The bottique property has been known by several names, including the Barbary Coast, which first opened in 1979 and retained that name for nearly 30 years. From 2007 to 2013, it was named Bill's Gamblin' Hall and Saloon. From 2014 until the present, it has been the Cromwell.

Next door to the Vanderpump is the Flamingo, which first opened in late 1946 under the direction of gangster Benjamin “Bugsy” Siegel. He was shot to death at his girlfriend’s home in Beverly Hills, California, about six months later in a still unsolved incident. The Flamingo is at the same location as when Siegel first opened it, though none of the original buildings remain.
