BetMGM And Fremantle Set To Unveil The Lion's Share The Price Is Right Game

Fremantle will premiere the latest series of its hit game show "The Price Is Right" on Sept. 22.
It will include a custom-branded format for the first time in the show’s history.
The new game, The Lion’s Share, has been created in partnership with betting giant BetMGM.

The Price Is Right
"The Price Is Right" is one of U.S. TV's most iconic game shows.
It originally ran between 1956 and 1965 before being revived on CBS in 1972. The show has aired over 10,000 episodes and has been inducted into the NAB Broadcasting Hall of Fame.
This year, the show, produced by Fremantle, will enter the record books as the longest-running game show in the world. To mark the occasion, it is launching a brand-new game called The Lion’s Share.
The Lion’s Share sees contestants attempt to guess the price of everyday items correctly.

Correct guesses award players with prize balls, collected in a wind tunnel.
Players can stop at any time or continue guessing to increase their prizes, with up to $500,000 up for grabs.

That fresh energy is being developed in conjunction with BetMGM, and it will feature a custom-branded format for the first time in the show’s history.
The game was developed as part of a partnership between the two companies, which was announced in January of this year.

As part of the agreement, BetMGM also has the right to develop various slots and other casino products based on Fremantle productions.
We can expect to see game-show-style casino games and other products inspired by "The Price Is Right" and "Family Feud."
An online casino tie-in with The Lion’s Share is slated for release in 2026, and BetMGM Chief Revenue Officer Matt Prevost said, “BetMGM is always looking for ways to create legendary moments.

The companies hope the game will mirror the success of another "Price Is Right" invention: Plinko. Plinko debuted on the show in 1983 and became one of the most popular formats on the game show.
The game, which was said to have been named after the noise of the disc hitting the pegs in the original show, has become a popular addition to online casinos.
