BetMGM Vegas Scavenger Hunt Winner Could Get Trip With Usher
MGM Resorts announced Wednesday that its loyalty program, MGM Rewards, has kicked off "The Wild Wild Quest."
Rules of the Game
MGM Resorts describes this contest as an "over-the-top scavenger hunt for "hidden" QR codes across The Vegas Strip.
These QR codes could "unlock access to the craziest Vegas vacation grand prize ever."
This reimagined loyalty program and scavenger hunt have prizes such as flying in a private jet with Grammy Award-winner Usher. He is launching his new residency at Park MGM on July 15.
From now to July 11, nine MGM Resorts on The Strip will be revealing QR codes on objects scattered around The Strip.
How to Play
The resorts include Bellagio, ARIA, MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay, Park MGM, The Mirage, New York-New York, Luxor, and Excalibur. Each site will have signage and clues for "The Wild Wild Quest."
MGM Resorts has provided the following hint, in riddle format: "flowers flourish at this iconic garden, center Strip, where you'll see giraffes and zebras during your next trip."
No purchase is necessary to partake in this event. When you scan a QR code, a page will open an online entry page that counts for a single sweepstakes entry. You can have a maximum of six per person.
More Prize Offerings
In addition to the Usher prize, there are 100 total prizes.
The Grand Prize contains the following, per MGM Resorts:
- A private jet flight with Usher.
- Two VIP passes to Usher's new show at Dolby Live theater at Park MGM.
- Upgrade to MGM Rewards' highest tier level – Noir status – through Jan. 31, 2023, and credits for a cruise, hotel stay, and dining in Las Vegas.
- Three-night stay at Aria Sky Suites in a Strip-view Penthouse.
- Golf lesson with a PGA or LPGA player at Shadow Creek.
- Cooking experience with an MGM Resorts' celebrity chef.
- $15,000 cash prize.
Beyond the Grand Prize, MGM Resorts notes some other available prizes:
- Upgrade to Noir or Platinum status in the rewards program with credits for a cruise, hotel stay, and dining in Vegas.
- Two tickets to the 2023 Super Bowl.
- Game ticket packages for various sports leagues.
- 30,000 MGM Rewards Points.

MGM Resorts has also accounted for those who may not be in or visiting Vegas for this contest. Thus, QR codes can be found on MGM Rewards television commercials nationwide and online or by entering by mail.
While no purchase is necessary, players must be legal residents of the United States or the District of Columbia residents. They must also be 21 years of age or older.
