Caesars announced Monday that the Caesars Sportsbook Louisiana and World Series of Poker at Harrah's New Orleans are scheduled to open this Fall.

These openings come as part of an ongoing $325 million transformation of Harrah's into Caesars in New Orleans.

How the Caesars Sportsbook Will Look

The sportsbook is 5,700 square feet and has four betting windows, 12 self-service kiosks, and a video and audio system.

The sportsbook will be next to the poker room, the biggest in Louisiana at 5,000 square feet with more than 20 tables and tableside beverage service.

"Caesars Sportsbook at Harrah's New Orleans will be the foremost sports betting and viewing destination in the southern United States," Dan Real, Regional President, Caesars Entertainment, said in a news release. "This first-class sportsbook will offer an unmatched game-day experience for Louisiana's passionate sports fans and our many visitors to the area. At Caesars, we recognize how important sports, entertainment, and hospitality are to Louisiana, and this sportsbook will showcase our continued commitment to the state and its people."

The WSOP Experience in New Orleans

"The World Series of Poker brand represents the ultimate poker experience and it's only fitting we open a poker room that matches its legacy," Samir Mowad, General Manager, Harrah's New Orleans, said in the release. "We'll accomplish this by providing a best-in-class place for players to enjoy our games while generating a competitive buzz that builds camaraderie and creates a thrilling sense of victory for our winners."

At the sportsbook, players will be able to watch and bet on games in a "luxurious environment," equipped with 14 video screens and a "state-of-the-art, higher-powered" audio system. There will also be a bar that can accommodate 28 patrons.

In addition to the 140 seats, the sportsbook will also house a multi-display Fan Cave that is a private viewing for up to 10 people.

As for the poker room, several varieties of live poker will be offered, which are meant to appeal to both new and seasoned players. There will be weekly tournaments on Sundays, Mondays, and Wednesdays.

The room will have the following operating hours:

  • Sunday to Thursday: 10 a.m. to 4 a.m.
  • Friday and Saturday: 10 a.m. to 6 a.m.

Caesars Updating Lake Charles Resort

In addition to these two openings, Caesars will continue its "longstanding legacy of delivering unequaled sports and entertainment experiences in New Orleans and the state of Louisiana" by rebuilding the Lake Charles Resort. This will soon reopen as Horseshow Lake Charles, as well as constructing a new retail sportsbook, Horseshoe Bossier City.

Caesars has partnerships with the New Orleans Saints, New Orleans Pelicans, and LSU Athletics in Louisiana. The company also has a 20-year deal with the Saints for exclusive naming rights to the Caesars Superdome, which will be the site of Super Bowl LIX in 2025.

When you play at either of these new sites — the sportsbook and poker room — these transactions will count toward your Tier and Reward Credits through the Caesars Rewards program.

As part of the program, players can have access "to unforgettable VIP experiences at Caesars destinations throughout the country and in Louisiana with partners like the Saints, Pelicans, and LSU."
