FanDuel Agrees with Buffalo Sabres as Official Sports Betting Partner

The Buffalo Sabres of the NHL and FanDuel Group announced Wednesday that they have agreed to terms that will now make FanDuel Sportsbook the official sports betting partner of the team.
What’s in the FanDuel Deal with Buffalo
The deal is set to be a “multi-year partnership” and gives FanDuel, which was amongst the first online sportsbooks in New York, exclusive rights to include branding, sports betting odds, promotions during Sabres broadcasts.
It also gives the sportsbook the ability to use Sabres “marks and logos” for in-arena marketing materials at Sabres home games.
This pact comes shortly after New York as a state, which is home to the Sabres, had the best sports betting month in history.
New York sports betting had a total handle of $1.686 billion from Jan. 8-31. The sportsbooks in New York also brought in a combined $123.810 million in revenue.
As for FanDuel, it totaled the second-highest handle amongst online sportsbooks in New York in January, bringing in $517,492,498.
FanDuel Deal Will Provide Real-Time Odds for Sabres Fans
In addition to the exclusive rights portion of the deal, FanDuel will also receive “end-to-end broadcast integration exclusivity in all phases of Sabres broadcasts, including pregame, in-game, intermissions, and postgame,” with sports betting segments during the pregame show and after both the first and second-period intermissions.
Sabres viewers can also expect to see real-time betting odds from FanDuel Sportsbook throughout the broadcast.

FanDuel Promo Offers for Sabres Fans
With this partnership announcement, players at FanDuel Sportsbook will be able to take part in an NHL betting promotion, “Sabres Correct Score Bonus”, which will be available on Feb. 23 and 25, during Sabres home games.
This offer will allow players to wager $25 or more on a pre-live, straight “correct score” wager to receive $5 in bonuses for each goal the winning team has, regardless of whether your wager wins or loses.
In addition to that offer, new players at FanDuel Sportsbook will also receive a welcome bonus which includes a bonus bet of up to $1,000, meaning you will receive your first wager back in site credit up to $1,000 if your first wager loses.
