Golden Nugget Casino NJ Deploys “How I Met Your Mother” For Commercial Campaign

Neil Patrick Harris, known for his roles in “Doogie Howser, M.D.” and “How I Met Your Mother,” is now being featured in commercials with Golden Nugget Online Casino for their “Make Any Moment Golden” campaign. 

Harris, 51, and an Emmy and Tony award-winner, is seen in these commercials playing the piano.

“The campaign refresh infuses an optimistic tone,” Golden Nugget Online Gaming (GNOG) said in a release, “with an entertainment value that is synonymous with Golden Nugget Online Gaming’s roots in Vegas.”

NPH’s piano appearances go beyond playing a song, though. He’s seen playing the piano to fit numerous situations that the NJ online casino players may find themselves in, like fishing and at a pet grooming salon.

This campaign comes as Golden Nugget Casino NJ, an online casino in the state for ten years, posted $6,730,445 in revenue in May 2024. This was the eighth-highest revenue total in the state when looking at individual casinos. 

As for license holders, Golden Nugget Atlantic City was the highest in May 2024 at more than $54.5 million. Since it launched, it’s generated nearly $2.4 billion, with Borgata behind them at around $2.1 billion. 

Golden Nugget is partnered with FanDuels and BetRivers, two online casinos ranked in the top seven in May 2024. 

As of May 2024, the Golden Nugget license has topped revenue in New Jersey for the last eight months in a row, and the state as a whole is headed toward a record-breaking year from online casino revenue, likely to eclipse $2 billion.
