MGM Is Now the Betting Partner of Cincinnati Reds

MGM Ohio online sports betting announced this week that it’s the Official Sports Betting Partner of the Cincinnati Reds. This partnership happens just ahead of Ohio launching legal sports betting on Jan. 1, 2023.
Retail Space to Open at Great American Ball Park
“Today’s announcement marks the beginning of our plans to create the most entertaining and dynamic sports betting experiences in Ohio,” said BetMGM CEO Adam Greenblatt. “Through our relationships with the Reds and MGM Northfield Park, we look forward to bringing unique BetMGM content to Ohio’s passionate sports fans.”
BetMGM will open a retail sportsbook at Great American Ball Park with the agreement. It’ll be inserted where the “Machine Room restaurant currently lives on the northeast side of the park. It’ll be accessible from outside the ticketed areas of the ballpark via the arena plaza level entrance,” per BetMGM.
Fans will be able to wager and watch games all year long.
This will be teh second BetMGM Sportsbook at an MLB ballpark. The first was the Washington Nationals in January 2022.
Renewed Partnership With MLB
Throughout Great American Ball Park, fans will find BetMGM signage, including “a permanent outfield wall sign, messaging behind home plate, and a branded foul line during select games.”
There’s also a BetMGM suite and club seats at the stadium. It will curate “VIP experiences for its fans including on-field access during batting practice.”
Doug Healy, Cincinnati Reds Chief Financial Officer, said, “With sports gaming coming to Ohio, the Reds sought to bring the highest quality operator to our ballpark for those fans who choose to participate in sports gaming. BetMGM is renowned for their expertise in entertainment and sports gaming, and we believe their brand best fits our high customer standards and will also help draw visitors to our city.”
During the game, Reds fans can access the BetMGM Sportsboko app that offers a “user-friendly mobile gaming experience, providing the opportunity to customize pre-game, live in-play, futures and parlay wagers.”
The news of this deal comes as BetMGM renews its partnership as an Official Sports Betting Partner of Major League Baseball. BetMGM was its first partner back in 2018.
BetMGM is committed to responsible gaming as it continues to expand.
