Nevada Gaming Win Flat At $1.28B In September

Nevada casinos won $1.28 billion in September, essentially flat on a year earlier as a 0.82% gain on the Las Vegas Strip was offset by weaker table games across the state.

The statewide figure slipped 0.05% from September 2025, according to the Nevada Gaming Control Board's September 2026 revenue report.

The result follows a stronger August, when statewide gaming win rose 3.1% even as the Strip stalled. September reversed that pattern slightly, with the Strip edging ahead while the wider state cooled.

Strip Edges Ahead

Nonrestricted licensees on the Las Vegas Strip reported gaming win of $693.5 million in September, up 0.82% year over year. Slot machines carried the month. Strip slot win rose 2.99% to $452.6 million, while table and card games fell 3.02% to $240.9 million.

Within table games, baccarat was a bright spot, with win up 9.89% to $55.4 million. Craps went the other way, dropping 33.83% to $22.4 million, a reminder of how volatile single-month table results can be when a handful of large wagers swing the outcome.

Over the July to September quarter, Strip gaming win totalled $2.15 billion, up 1.70%. For the 12 months to September 30, the Strip generated $8.99 billion, a 1.96% increase.

Statewide Numbers

Across all of Nevada, slots again outperformed tables. Statewide slot win rose 1.26% to $948.9 million in September, while table, counter and card games fell 3.61% to $333.7 million. Slots accounted for roughly three quarters of the month's total win.

The three-month picture is firmer than the single month suggests. Statewide gaming win for the quarter beginning July 1 reached $3.93 billion, up 1.67% on the same period of 2025. Over the past 12 months, Nevada's nonrestricted casinos won $16.11 billion, up 2.43%.

Outside Clark County the results were mixed but positive. Washoe County, which includes Reno and Sparks, reported $101.0 million, up 0.36%. Nye County posted $6.0 million, an increase of 10.98% from a small base.

How To Read A Flat Month

A decline of 0.05% is within normal month-to-month noise, and the board notes that its figures can change because of late filings and later adjustments. The more useful signal is the trend. Nevada has recorded growth over the quarter and the trailing year, even as individual months swing with table hold and event calendars.

The report covers nonrestricted licensees only, so smaller restricted locations such as bars and convenience stores are not included. It also measures gaming win, the amount casinos keep after paying out winnings, rather than the total amount wagered.

What Comes Next

The board reports monthly, so October figures are the next test. Analysts will watch whether the Strip can build on September's small gain and whether table games recover after soft results in craps and mini-baccarat, which fell 33.83% and 37.03% on the Strip.

For now, Nevada's numbers show a mature market growing slowly, led by slot machines and supported by high-end baccarat play on the Strip.
