New Luxury Hotel from Rivers Casino Opens in Fishtown, PA

It was ribbon-cutting time this week as Rivers Casino Philadelphia officially opened the new Riversuites at The Battery luxury boutique hotel.

The project features 62 upper scale, apartment-style suites. The accommodations come in one-, two-, and three-bedroom options. Every suite has a kitchen, walk-in closets, and a convertible sofa bed for more sleeping options. Some have patios, and bi-level lofts.

Targeting The Vacation-Goer

Steps from the casino, the idea is to attract more than just casino-goers. It’s for vacation-goers, including families and group travel, since those who stay there are right in the middle of the Fishtown neighbourhood.

Plus, you’ll be close to the eight restaurants and bars at Rivers Casino, including Martorano’s Prime, an Italian American steakhouse, FLIPT, a burger and shakes joint, and Sicilian Slice, a pizza place. Riversuites is located inside The Battery, the mixed-use lifestyle campus on Beach Street.

The casino’s 22-acre waterfront property connects The Battery via the Delaware Riverwalk by way of Penn Treaty Park.

“VIPs and out-of-town visitors won’t find penthouse-quality suites with waterfront views like this anywhere else in Philly,” said Eric Althaus, general manager of the casino.

Easy Access to Rivers Casino

The suites average 864 square feet in size, with the largest one eclipsing 2,200 square feet. There are plenty of amenities as well – lobby gathering places, co-working areas, even an indoor basketball court.

It’s just a short minute walk to the casino, but there’s also a 24/7 shuttle service, 24/7 security and valet parking.

“Opening Riversuites inside The Battery is the perfect opportunity for Rivers Casino Philadelphia to continue to be part of Fishtown’s growth and revitalization,” said Tim Drehkoff, CEO of Rivers Casino, and Rush Street Gaming.

Rivers Casino Philadelphia, owned and operated by Rush Street Gaming and its affiliates, will operate the hotel.
