NY Mobile Betting Revenue Hits $79.4M In Oct. 25 Week

New York's mobile sportsbooks had their biggest week of the fiscal year. Operators took $656,151,179 in handle and reported $79,395,335 in gross gaming revenue for the week ending October 25, 2026, according to the New York State Gaming Commission.
That is the highest weekly handle and the highest weekly revenue of the 2026-27 fiscal year to date. The previous handle high was $619.4 million, set in the week ending October 4, and the previous revenue high was $66.0 million in the week ending July 12.
Hold, the share of wagers operators kept, came to about 12.1%, calculated from the commission's figures.
Week On Week And Year On Year
Against the week ending October 18, when handle was $615.1 million and revenue $63.3 million, handle rose 6.7% and revenue jumped 25.4%.
The year-on-year comparison is starker. In the week ending October 26, 2025, handle was $655.7 million, almost identical to this year's total, but revenue was just $49.2 million. That means handle was essentially flat while revenue rose about 61.5%, because operators held roughly 12.1% of wagers this year against about 7.5% a year earlier.
For the fiscal year so far, the commission's table shows $15.45 billion in handle and $1.39 billion in revenue. The commission publishes these weekly statewide figures alongside separate reports for each licensed operator, which is what makes comparisons between sportsbooks possible.
How The Operators Fared
FanDuel again led the state. Its commission report shows $246.7 million in handle and $36.6 million in revenue for the week, a hold of about 14.8%. That is roughly 38% of statewide handle and 46% of statewide revenue.
Fanatics reported $73.5 million in handle and $5.2 million in revenue, while BetMGM posted $53.1 million in handle and $5.2 million in revenue. Bally Bet recorded $3.5 million in handle and $0.4 million in revenue. Figures for the other licensed operators are published separately by the commission.
The leaders' dominance has been a feature of the market since mobile wagering launched in New York, and FanDuel's higher hold shows how much the weekly swing in results can matter.
What The Revenue Figure Means
New York taxes mobile sports wagering revenue at 51%. At that rate, a $79.4 million week implies roughly $40.5 million for the state, on a simple calculation, though the commission notes its figures are not a direct tax receipt.
The commission reports revenue on a cash basis. Wagers on future events count as revenue when they are placed, and payouts on winning bets are recognized when they are redeemed. That timing can push weekly revenue up or down independent of what happened on the field.
The NFL season is in full swing, and weekly numbers have moved sharply in recent weeks: revenue was $52.1 million for the week ending October 11 and $63.3 million a week later. Hold swings widely from week to week, so a single strong result does not set a trend.
The next commission reports will show whether operators can sustain a double-digit hold or whether bettors win back some of this week's gains.
