NJ Online Casinos Amass $180M in Revenue, Snap Monthly Record
New Jersey online casinos brought in $180.3 million in revenue in December 2023, snapping the previous record set in November 2023 of $171.6 million. The revenue increased by 19% compared to December 2022.
In 2023, NJ online casinos garnered $1.9 billion in revenue, a 16% increase from 2022. This past November was the tenth anniversary of legal online casino play in New Jersey.
Since online casinos launched in November 2013, they have generated $7.4 billion in revenue, with $1.1 billion going to the state for taxes. Online gambling in the state accounts for 36.7% of total gaming revenue reported by Atlantic City casino licensees and digital-only licensees.
Individual Licensee Revenue Numbers
In December 2023, the state brought in $27 million in taxes and nearly $300 million in 2023. The top licensee in December 2023 was Golden Nugget Atlantic City, with $52,832,473 in revenue. That license has BetRivers, Betway, FanDuel, and Golden Nugget under its umbrella.
