Rush Street Earns RG Check iGaming Accreditation for Responsible Gaming

Rush Street Interactive announced Thursday that it has become the first U.S.-based online casino and sports betting platform to receive the RG Check iGaming Accreditation from the Responsible Gaming Council (RGC).

What the Accreditation Means

Receiving this via both the BetRivers and PlaySugarHouse brands, the RG Check is considered to be the “world’s most comprehensive and rigorous responsible gaming accreditation program” and it was developed and introduced to “meet or exceed all existing responsible gaming regulatory requirements” and is also valid for three years.

The process for this accreditation starts by being reviewed by a panel of responsible gaming specialists.

"Receiving RG Check Accreditation is a testament to our commitment and execution of RSI's corporate social responsibility strategy, which includes the continued implementation of the Company's responsible gaming initiatives," Richard Schwartz, Chief Executive Officer of RSI, which operates BetRivers.com and PlaySugarHouse.com, said in a news release.

"We want to ensure our valued customers and employees are equipped with the tools and resources necessary to help ensure a culture of safe, fair and fun gaming experiences."

Rush Street Interactive has online products in 13 states in the U.S. and has a regulated gaming outfit in Colombia.

Rush Street to Expand to Canada

However, Rush Street Interactive is expanding its BetRivers product, launching in Ontario, Canada on April 4.

This will be the third country in which Rush Street Interactive has operations for real-money online gaming.

In coming to Canada, Rush Street Interactive received accreditation two years ahead of time before Ontario’s mandates, as all Ontario-based online gaming outlets must have this.

Rush Street Interactive received this recognition as March 2022 concludes, and March is “Problem Gambling Awareness Month”, which Rush Street Interactive aims to be “at the forefront of this important topic”.
