With the 2023 NFL season now alive and kicking and all 30 NFL arenas opening their doors after the offseason, each location saw the return of blockbuster entertainment seen by millions, making the NFL consistently one of the most profitable sports leagues in the world.

It’s fair to say that the NFL has a significant economic impact on cities and states across the United States. It provides jobs for thousands of people, from players and coaches all the way to stadium staff. However, the sport offers far more to the local community than employment opportunities alone. Locals who live in the vicinity of an NFL stadium can also benefit from the influx of tourism, where many turn to Airbnb or other online marketplaces to rent out their property on gameday weekends and make a decent buck -- and who can blame them? The shortage of houses in America represents opportunity for hard working people looking to capitalize on this problem.

All that considered, the research team at Gambling.com decided to work out the "Most Lucrative Airbnb Stadium Locations in the NFL."

After the numbers were crunched, the study discovered that Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee, is the most lucrative Airbnb location in the vicinity of an NFL stadium, with a hefty average price of $718 per night, nearly doubling that of the runner up!

In Southern Nevada, Allegiant Stadium, home of the Las Vegas Raiders, took second place with an average price of $379 per night, while Chicago's Soldier Field, the smallest NFL stadium by capacity, is next up in third with an average price of $346 per night.

The cheapest Airbnb stadium location is EverBank Stadium, home of the Jacksonville Jaguars, with an average price of just $145 per night, nearly a fifth of the price of a Airbnb near the Nissan Stadium!

Not far behind as the second cheapest was U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota, with an average price of $171 per night, while Arrowhead Stadium, home of the Kansas City Chiefs, was the third cheapest stadium location overall.

Methodology

In order to work out the "Most Lucrative Airbnb Stadium Locations In NFL," Gambling.com did the following:

  • All stadium location prices were then ranked from top to bottom to work out the "Most Lucrative Airbnb Stadium Locations’ and the ‘Cheapest Airbnb Stadium Locations.'"

All data was collected on 09/04/2023.
