The Rock will make his WrestleMania return this weekend, but it has been speculated on betting sites that it may not be his only turn in the ring this year.

There was huge controversy amid wrestling super-fans in February when The Rock made a shock WWE return and declared he was to face Roman Reigns for the top title at WrestleMania 40.

The Rock then made a shock appearance and had a dramatic stare down with undisputed WWE champion Reigns on SmackDown, but it backfired on the WWE after the video became their most disliked clip ever.

The pair are both part of the Anoa'i family, a family of pro wrestlers originating from American Samoa.

Reigns was declared undisputed WWE Universal Champion after securing both major WWE championships, and he and his cousins have become known as The Bloodline.

Following the backlash, The Rock revealed in a March episode of SmackDown that The Bloodline were challenging Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins to a tag match on Night 1 of WrestleMania 40.

Rollins later confirmed that he and Rhodes accepted The Rock's offer, setting up one of the biggest matches in WrestleMania history.

The pair will face off against The Rock and Reigns in the headline match on April 6 at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.

But the result of the epic battle will have huge ramifications for Night 2 on April 7.

It was agreed that if Rhodes and Rollins are victorious, there will be no Bloodline interference when Rhodes takes on Reigns in the main event of Night 2, and when Rollins defends his championship against Drew McIntyre.

However, if The Bloodline are successful on Night 1 it could lead to WrestleMania 40 carnage, and also pave the way for more of The Rock in the ring this year.

Rock Vs Rhodes?

Rhodes will take on Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship on Night 2, but that looked in doubt in February when Rhodes stepped aside to allow The Rock to fight his cousin.

However, after the fan uproar, Reigns and Rhodes is back on, and the latter finally has the chance to "finish the story" by winning the top title.

The Rock has recently mixed things up by suggesting Rhodes won't receive an undisputed WWE universal title shot again if he is defeated by Reigns - so it could be now or never for Rhodes.

But could Rhodes and The Rock face off soon?

It is -150 on specials betting sites that The Rock goes up against Rhodes in his next match, and +200 that he takes on his other WrestleMania tag match opponent Rollins in a one-on-one after this weekend.

Reigns To Face Rock At Some Point

WWE fans are desperate to see The Rock take on Reigns, they just didn't want it to happen at the expense of Rhodes vs Reigns.

However, they could get their wish after WrestleMania 40.

It is just +300 on betting apps that The Rock faces off against Reigns next, and while that looks more likely to be next year, there has been speculation that the pair could get in the ring when the WWE returns to Saudi Arabia on May 25.

What's more, another event which could home the bout is this year's SummerSlam, which is scheduled to take place on August 3, 2024.

Another huge match for The Rock could see him face off against CM Punk (+500), following his long-awaited return to WWE last year.

Dijak Better Than The Rock?

WWE star Dijak made it clear recently that he would love to take on the Hollywood movie star, and he is +800 on new betting sites to do so after a fan appeared to increase the opportunity.

Dijak recently took to X - formerly Twitter - to respond to a picture of a fan sign that read: "Dijak > The Rock."

He wrote in the caption: "After I win the North American Championship this Saturday at @WWENXT #StandAndDeliver I think we should find out! (sic)."

And Dijak added further spice by tagging The Rock's daughter Ava - who runs WWE's NXT brand - into his message.

He added: "@avawwe_ can you book this match orrrr…? (sic)."

What's more, it is a +1000 longshot that The Rock takes on John Cena next, after he joked he would only fight Cena if he was naked.

It comes after fellow wrestler-turned-actor Cena recently appeared at the Oscars in the nude, with just an envelope to hide his modesty.

Following Cena's Academy Awards in the buff, The Rock discussed a possible match on chat show "Jimmy Kimmel Live."

The Rock said on the show: "Right, a half-naked John Cena isn’t the guy who I want to attack [laughs]."

But Jimmy joked, "You want him fully naked?"

The Rock then quipped: "I need him fully naked before I attack him. That was his joke, by the way."

But it'll be no joke on Saturday when The Bloodline do battle with Rollins and Rhodes.
