Two Pennsylvania Regions on AGA's Top 20 Commercial Casino Markets

The American Gaming Association (AGA) has unveiled official revenue figures for gaming revenue throughout 2023, with two Pennsylvania regions quoted as being among the top 20 revenue earners not just among PA online casinos, but across the US.
Casinos in Philadelphia and Poconos snapped up the honor as two of the strongest regions within the US market, making a significant contribution to the overall record-breaking $66.5 billion of revenue that was recorded throughout 2023.
Philadelphia Casinos Reach the Top 10
Philadelphia casinos were the biggest performers, landing in at seventh place and securing a placing on the even more coveted AGA Top 10 list.
Players have a choice of five casinos in the region: Live! Casino, Rivers Casino, Harrah’s, Parx, and Valley Forge Casino, with each brand regularly included in the monthly top performers across the Keystone State. Valley Forge netted $41,609,210 in gaming revenue in January, with Rivers, Harrah’s, and Parx close on its heels, making them part of the top five earners in Pennsylvania for the month.
Poconos’ two Mount Airy Casino and Mohegan Pennsylvania also generated a total of $934.7 million in revenue last year, helping the region secure the 11th placing on the top 20 highest earners.
Philadelphia Source of Some of Biggest Jackpot Winnings
The Keystone State is known for some of the biggest jackpot winnings, with Philadelphia breaking the biggest records. Most recently, Live! Philadelphia’s $183K record jackpot prize made headlines across the state. With such a strong reputation for excellent payouts, it’s no surprise that the region has registered such an excellent performance throughout the past year.
