Half the teams competing in the 2022 College World Series will take the field this weekend in what amounts to a family feud.
Four of the eight teams (Texas A&M, Arkansas, Ole Miss and Auburn) are from the Southeastern Conference West Division.
Two other teams, Texas and Oklahoma, are set to join the SEC in 2025.
Stanford and Notre Dame round out the eight teams competing for this year’s college baseball crown.
Weekend Schedule
The eight teams begin play Friday or Saturday in a double-elimination format. The top two advance to a best-of-three championship series, beginning June 17.
All CWS games are at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha, Nebraska.
Friday start:
Oklahoma vs. No. 5 Texas A&M: Friday at 2 p.m. ET on ESPN.
Notre Dame vs. No. 9 Texas: Friday at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN.
Saturday start:
Arkansas vs. No. 2 Stanford: Saturday at 2 p.m. ET on ESPN.
Ole Miss vs. No. 14 Auburn: Saturday at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN2.

Favorite, Long Shot Picks
For bettors, two teams to keep an eye on at this year’s CWS are Texas and Ole Miss, according to Bryant Adams, co-host of the NCAA baseball podcast “Caught Looking.”
Adams told Gambling.com the CWS is “wide open” this year with Notre Dame’s upset of No. 1-ranked Tennessee last weekend in a Super Regional round at the Volunteers’ ballpark in Knoxville.
Tennessee probably would have been the CWS favorite, but, with the Vols eliminated, the power dynamic has shifted. This has created good sports betting options.
“The favorite is, and should be, Texas, with their high-powered lineup, powered by possible Golden Spikes winner Ivan Melendez,” Adams said. “The Longhorns’ pitching staff is powered by their starters. While the bullpen has been inconsistent at times this year, it gelled down the stretch.”
Adams said bettors wanting to take “a flier” on a long shot might look at Ole Miss.
The Rebels are coming off a two-game sweep in their Super Regional road matchup against Southern Mississippi. Ole Miss shut out the No. 11 Golden Eagles in both games.
“It’s hard to deny what the Ole Miss Rebels have done to this point in the tournament,” Adams said. “The one-time No. 1 team in the country figured out their pitching situation late in the year to pair with a very consistent hitting lineup from one to nine at just the right time.”
Adams noted Ole Miss outscored its opponents 46-7 since the beginning of the 64-team tournament.
“They just feel like a team of destiny after being the last at-large team in the field,” Adams said.
