Fanatics FAIR PLAY Max: Full-Game NFL, NBA Injury Cover

Fanatics Sportsbook has extended its FAIR PLAY player injury protection to cover entire NFL and NBA games, with no fee to customers. The operator announced the FAIR PLAY Max Pledge on October 19, 2026, saying protection now applies from the first quarter to the fourth on every eligible player prop bet this season.
Fanatics Sports & Casino said in its announcement that the pledge has four parts: full-game protection across all four quarters, a $0 fee, availability to every customer, and coverage for every NFL and NBA game all season. FAIR PLAY Max applies automatically, so there is no token to use, no opt-in and nothing to claim.
The operator describes itself as the only sportsbook guaranteeing full-game player prop protection at no charge for the whole season, and says that elsewhere, protection either costs extra or ends at halftime. That is Fanatics' own claim, and bettors should check each sportsbook's terms before comparing.
How The Refund Works
If a player leaves injured and does not return, the affected leg is voided. On a single bet the stake comes back. On a parlay, the remaining legs keep playing. Before halftime the voiding happens immediately.
After halftime, the refund arrives as FanCash once the game is final, and on parlays with legs still to play, FanCash is credited once every leg has settled.
That detail matters for anyone weighing the offer: a second-half refund comes back as FanCash, the Fanatics rewards currency, rather than as cash.
Fanatics says customers earn up to 10% back on every bet, win or lose, and can spend FanCash on official merchandise, trading cards, game tickets and Lids as well as on further bets.
A Third Step In Two Seasons
Fanatics said it created the first player injury protection programme in 2024, was the first to offer first-half protection and was the first to offer second-half protection at no charge.
President of sportsbook Ted Moss said in the release that the company now covers the whole game at no charge to the customer, and that a second-half injury returns FanCash that can be used across the Fanatics ecosystem.
The move comes as player props remain one of the busiest areas of US betting, and as regulators and leagues pay close attention to them; the NBA, for example, has banned same-player under parlays and some other props at sportsbooks. Fanatics is also the NFL’s official sportsbook under a multi-year deal, which gives the NFL pledge extra visibility.
What Bettors Should Check
The announcement does not list state-by-state availability, minimum odds or any exclusions beyond the injury trigger, so the sportsbook's own terms are the place to confirm eligibility.
Injury protection only applies where a player leaves hurt and does not come back; it does not change the outcome of bets placed on players who finish the game. Our Fanatics Sportsbook review covers the operator's other features and current offers.
