Mobile sports betting in New York is set to go live at 9 a.m. ET on Saturday. New Yorkers can place bets on DraftKings, FanDuel, Caesars or BetRivers.

Just this weekend, there will be numerous opportunities for New York residents to bet on local teams. Here is a betting rundown of the professional New York teams playing this weekend.

NFL Betting Opportunities for New York

Washington Football Team at New York Giants (+7), Sunday, 1 p.m., ET

At this point, there is nothing positive to say about the Giants’ season. The team has lost five straight games by double digits and has failed to cover the spread in each of those games.

Quarterback Mike Glennon has been embarrassingly bad while replacing Daniel Jones. It doesn’t get more inept than completing 4 of 11 passes for 24 yards and throwing two interceptions in a 29-3 loss to the Chicago Bears on Sunday.

Fortunately, Giants fans won’t have to suffer watching their team much longer. New York wraps up the season at home as seven-point underdogs on DraftKings NY to the Washington Football Team. If Giants fans feel ambitious, they can add some interest by betting on the team to cover in their season finale.

New York Jets (+16.5) at Buffalo Bills, Sunday, 4:25 p.m. ET

All that’s left for the Jets to find out is their final draft position. Like the Giants, it hasn’t been a profitable year to back the Jets, with both teams going 6-10 against the spread. The Jets have lost four of their past five games and failed to cover in four of their past five, too.

Unlike the Giants, who were expected to at least compete for a wild card, the Jets are an organization in transition with first-year coach Robert Saleh and rookie quarterback Zach Wilson.

The team did show some signs of life last week during a 27-24 loss to the reigning Super Bowl Champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and perhaps it can cover a double-digit spread DraftKings New York to give New York bettors something else to be happy about going into the offseason.

NBA Betting Opportunities for New York

New York Knicks at Boston Celtics, Saturday, 7:30 p.m. ET

Saturday’s matchup between the Knicks and Celtics is a rematch from Thursday’s contest where R.J. Barrett banked in a desperation 3-pointers at the buzzer to give the Knicks a 108-105 win. This will be the first professional sporting event with a New York team that residents within the state will be able to bet on.

A betting line has yet to come out on this game, but bettors can expect lines for games to come out late the night before or early morning of the same day. If you’re looking for a spread to back the Knicks, keep checking back to your sportsbook if you want to get the earliest line.

NHL Betting Opportunities for New York

New York Rangers at Anaheim Ducks, Saturday, 10 p.m. ET

The Rangers are currently New York’s best chance at a championship this season. New York holds a 22-9-4 record and has recorded 48 points this season. The Rangers head to Anaheim on Saturday night, giving New Yorkers the first chance to back them with a bet.

NHL betting enthusiasts can expect to see a goal line of –1.5 for whoever is favored and +1.5 for the underdog. They can also bet on a team’s moneyline to win the game straight up. Currently, there are no odds set for the Rangers’ matchup against the Ducks in Anaheim.
