The National Football League and Aristocrat Gaming have announced a multi-year slot machine licensing agreement.

What’s In the Deal

The deal includes both an exclusive global license for land-based casinos as well as a non-exclusive deal for online casinos.

For online casinos, the deal includes both slots and virtual sports games.

This is the first deal of this kind the NFL has done.

More on Aristocrat Gaming

Aristocrat Gaming employs more than 6,500 individuals and is licensed in over 300 gaming jurisdictions and operates in more than 90 countries.

If you’ve ever played at a land-based or online casino, you’ll often find licensed slot titles. These include titles such as Guns ‘N’ Roses, Michael Jackson, and more. Really, anything that has a brand outside of the online casino or land-based casino got there due to a licensing agreement.

Now, Aristocrat Gaming can develop slots across the globe with the NFL name backing it.

What it Means For NFL

The rise of online gambling allows the NFL to engage with fans in a new way via an on-the-rise gaming experience

These slots will hit casino floors for the 2023 season. The NFL also recently announced it will launch an “extensive, integrated league-wide responsible betting public awareness”.

"The world of casino gaming is transforming, and the NFL is thrilled to be teaming up with industry leader, Aristocrat Gaming, with their proven track record in slot machine innovation and commitment to responsible gaming," Rachel Hoagland, Vice President, Gaming and Partnership Management for the NFL, said in a release. "Today's slot machines offer engaging experiences akin to popular video game consoles that our fans adore, and we believe with Aristocrat's vision, we can bring that exciting gaming experience to fans on the casino floor looking to show their love of football."

"At Aristocrat, we are changing the game. In that spirit, we are thrilled to enter this agreement with the NFL, whose similar mission made this a natural partnership," Hector Fernandez, President of Aristocrat Americas and EMEA, said in the release. "Fans worldwide love watching the NFL, and casino players worldwide enjoy Aristocrat games. This agreement presents a new opportunity to reach tens of millions of NFL and Aristocrat fans with exciting new entertainment options on the casino floor and beyond."
