NFL Roundup: The New Power Couple

Move over, Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift.
The NFL has a new power couple: The New England Patriots' Drake “Drake Maye” Maye and his wife, Ann Micheal Maye. He's leading the league in several important quarterback categories, while she has become an internet hit with a cooking show.
Maye Leads League In Key QB Stats
Maye and Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford are the leading candidates to win this season’s MVP award.
A second-year quarterback, Maye ranks first in the league this season with a 72% pass completion percentage. No other NFL quarterback during the 2025-26 season had a completion percentage of 70% or higher.
In addition, Maye leads the league in yards per passing attempt (8.93 yards) and quarterback rating (77.1).
At only 23, Maye has the Pats on the verge of a Super Bowl appearance, leading the team to a 14-3 regular-season record. After suffering through three losing seasons in a row until now, Patriots fans are hoping Maye can revive the Tom Brady glory years.
Ann Michael’s ‘Bakemas' Cooking Show Heats Up
Maye’s wife, Ann Michael, has become an internet sensation, beginning with her social media “Bakemas” cooking show during December, leading up to Christmas.
Ann Michael and Drake spent their early school years together in North Carolina and then went on to college in Chapel Hill at the University of North Carolina. In high school, she was an accomplished athlete herself in field hockey and softball, and, as a business administration major in college, was a member of Carolina Women in Business, the Finance Society, and other campus organizations.
Her cooking show, now called "Beyond Bakmas With Ann Michael Maye," has been picked up by NBC 10 Boston/NBC Sports Boston and has included guests such as David Andrews, a former Patriots center, and Dave Portnoy of Barstool Sports.
At a news conference, Drake Maye was even asked to name his favorite baked good of his wife’s. He answered peppermint chocolate chip cookies.
That reply led to several comments on an NBC Sports Boston social media site, including one from a social media user identified as Jonathan W. Wood, who wrote that Drake “absolutely nuked that answer. Kid is the truth.” A user identified as Nick Simmons wrote, “King, absolutely crushed this answer, exquisite taste. I’d expect nothing less.” A user identified as Josh DeLuca wrote, “The First Lady of New England taking care of our guy.”
At Patriots games, Ann Michael Maye has been seen wearing an “I (heart) Drake Maye” T-shirt. Rookie offensive lineman Will “Big Country” Campbell recently arrived at the stadium for a game wearing a T-shirt with the same “I (heart) Drake Maye” wording. He said Ann Michael gave him the shirt.
Championship Round Times, TV Channels
On Sunday, Maye leads the Patriots on a road trip to Denver to face the Broncos in the AFC championship game. Of note, another top young quarterback, Denver’s Bo Nix, suffered a fractured right ankle in last weekend’s win over the Buffalo Bills and will be replaced by seldom-used backup Jarrett Stidham during the game against New England.
The AFC winner faces the winner of Sunday's NFC championship game, either the Los Angeles Rams or Seattle Seahawks, in the Super Bowl on Feb. 8.
Below are game details:
