Prediction Market Partnerships: Every Major Deal Tracked
Kalshi and brokerage infrastructure startup Alpaca announced a global partnership on August 31, 2026, that will put Kalshi's CFTC-regulated event contracts in front of roughly 300 financial institutions and 14 million brokerage accounts worldwide.
The deal marks the international leg of an 18-month run in which prediction markets have gone from a regulatory afterthought to one of the most aggressively courted sponsorship categories in sports and media.
Before 2025, no comparable "official prediction market partner" deals existed. Kalshi and Polymarket spent 2021 to 2024 largely tied up in regulatory fights, most notably Kalshi's CFTC litigation over election contracts, rather than signing sponsorships. That legal clarity opened the door to the wave below.
The prediction markets' land grab can be split into two distinct phases: 2025 was the year institutional finance bought in, and 2026 was the year leagues and teams followed suit. The tables below track every major partnership by platform, oldest to newest.
Kalshi
Kalshi's deals moved from consumer distribution in 2025 to data, integrity, and international brokerage partnerships through 2026.
Alpaca's network will access Kalshi's contracts directly rather than through a middleman, the companies said in a joint announcement, a distribution push rather than a sports tie-in.
Kalshi is also said to be in talks for a league-level MLB deal.

What Comes Next
New York's lawsuit against Kalshi, filed the same week as the Mets and Yankees deals, argues that the platform is "quintessentially gambling," a framing that will continue to shadow every new sponsorship announcement. The MLBPA has separately proposed tighter limits on prop bets and individual performance markets in collective bargaining talks, a sign that the fight over who regulates prediction markets is far from settled even as the commercial deals keep stacking up.
