PointsBet Casino Goes Live in Pennsylvania

Players of Pennsylvania online casinos have another gaming option available to them. On Wednesday, PointsBet’s internet casino product went live in the state following authorization from the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB).

PointsBet’s Wednesday release was a soft launch in accordance with the PGCB’s requirements, which mandates PointsBet goes through a two-day soft launch before reaching full online casino operations in the state.

"It is an exciting time for the online casino market, and we’re proud to be able to tap into this momentum and introduce our proprietary product in Pennsylvania," Manjit Gombra Singh, PointsBet President of Product and Technology, said in a media release. "We’re quickly scaling our online casino business and looking forward to expanding and refining our suite of products throughout the year to deliver more options for our users in PointsBet online casinos.”

Pennsylvania is the latest spot where PointsBet has a live casino. It has also launched its iGaming platform in Michigan, New Jersey, West Virginia and Ontario.

Mr. Vegas Also Coming to Pennsylvania

The past two days have seen new announcements around Pennsylvania’s online gaming industry. The Video Slots Group announced on Tuesday its plans to launch the Mr. Vegas casino brand in the state in 2023. Video Slots Group gained access to the state through a market access agreement with Caesars Entertainment.

“We are excited to start executing our plans in the U.S., which has huge growth potential, starting with the great state of Pennsylvania,” Videoslots CEO Alexander Stevendahl said in a media release. “Thanks to a distinctive name like Mr. Vegas and an innovative product, I am confident it will become one of the casinos of choice for players.”

Pennsylvania is the first state for the Mr. Vegas brand , which also has plans to go live in more states across the country in the future. In addition to Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Connecticut, New Jersey and Michigan offer online casino gaming.

‘’This is a significant milestone in our strategy, having enjoyed significant success with our product in a host of markets, including Sweden, UK, and Denmark,” Stevendahl said.

“We are now aiming for something similar in the US as we move towards our goal of becoming the world's leading casino operator.”

Mr. Vegas has over 2,000 online games in its casino library, including online slots, video slots, live casino, video poker and table games such as blackjack, baccarat and roulette.
