Throughout the season, we will give you MLB betting advice each day, throwing in a few quick pitches for prop bets, Over-Under bets or moneyline bets on other games.

Cleveland Guardians at Houston Astros

Cleveland will send right-hander Zach Plesac, 1-3, 4.42 ERA and 23 strikeouts to the mound when the Guardians take on the Houston Astros at 8:10 p.m. ET.

Houston will start lefty Framber Valdez, 3-2, 2.68 ERA and 39 strikeouts.

What the Betting System Predicts

Betting the Under with a total of eight or 8.5 runs that is scoring an average of 4.4 to 4.9 RPG and facing an AL opponent that is starting a pitcher with an ERA of not higher than 4.20 has earned a 29-7 record.

That is good for 81% winning bets over the past five seasons and 64% of these bets played under by two or more runs.

Houston is 24-6 on the Under, making 18 units, when installed as a favorite of -110 on the moneyline and 30-10 Under in all games played this season. They are 11-2 Under as a home favorite of at least -150.

I am betting the Under of eight runs at -105 at BetMGM Sportsbook.

New York Mets at San Francisco Giants

The Giants opened as -135 favorites on the moneyline for this game at 9:45 p.m. That number dropped to -121 after bettors favored the Mets.

San Francisco is starting Logan Webb, 5-1, 3.54 ERA and 34 strikeouts against Chris Bassitt, 4-2, 2.77 ERA and 49 strikeouts.

Another Profitable Betting Angle

This is one of the simplest betting systems in my data warehouse that includes well over 5,000 MLB algorithms.

The requirements are to bet on home favorites on the moneyline that are starting a pitcher that averages 0.5 or fewer home runs per start and are coming off a game in which their bullpen was hammered for six or more earned runs allowed (the Giants’ pen gave up seven runs in the last two innings).

This situational system has produced a 35-6 Under record good for 85% winning bets over the last five seasons and has earned a 19-5 mark good for 79% winning bets over the past three seasons.

I’m betting on the Giants on the moneyline.

Other Bets I Like Today
