We’re on a run of 13 winning days out of the past 14 with the recommended best bets and player props. So, here is Tuesday’s MLB betting advice with two games and three player prop bets.

Seattle at Houston

8:10 p.m. ET
The Astros took the first game of this series 3-0 on Monday. Astros starting pitcher Jake Odorizzi was spectacular, completing 6 2/3 innings, allowing four hits, zero earned runs, one walk, and three strikeouts to earn his first win.
On the hill tonight for Houston is right-hander Christian Javier, who is 2-0 with a 0.00 ERA and a WHIP of 0.692 in 13 innings.

Of those 13 innings, eight of them have been in relief. In his last start against the Texas Rangers, he allowed two earned runs on four hits with two walks and four strikeouts in five innings.

Right-hander Chris Flexen will make his fifth start of the season for Seattle and he is 1-3 with a 3.37 ERA and a 1.167 WHIP in 24 innings.

He is 0-2 in road starts with a 4.09 ERA and a 1.455 WHIP.

What the Betting Algorithm Says

Betting on American League home favorites of -120 and higher, sporting a .320 or lower on-base-percentage that are coming off a game in which three or fewer combined runs were scored, has produced a solid 120-38 moneyline record.

That’s good for for 76% winning bets over the past five seasons.

The algorithm is 41-20 for 68% winning bets over the last three seasons.
I am betting the Houston Astros on the moneyline.

San Francisco at Los Angeles

10:10 p.m. ET
This is the first of a two-game series. Both teams are off to a good start after each winning 100 games last season.
The Dodgers will go with left-hander Julio Urias, who is making his fifth start of the season and sports a 2.50 ERA and a 1.000 WHIP in 18 innings.

He is coming off his best start of the season when he allowed one earned run on one hit, in six innings against Arizona.
The Giants will counter with lefty Carlos Rodon, who is a 3-0 in four starts with a 1.17 ERA and a 0.826 WHIP in 23 innings. He allowed one earned run on three hits and had nine strikeouts in his last start against the Oakland A's.

How My Profitable Betting Angle Sets Up

Here is a highly profitable betting angle that has earned a 44-19 record using the run line for 68% winning bets over the past five MLB seasons. It has a 24-10 record for 71% winners over the last three seasons.
The requirements are to bet on a team using the -1.5 run line with a team like the Los Angeles Dodgers that are averaging 4.75 or more runs per game and has a starting pitcher who is giving up 0.5 or fewer home runs per start and is facing a starting pitcher with an era of 3.70 or lower.

My Best Bet is on the Dodgers using the run line.

Player Prop Bets I like tonight

  • Bet on J.D. Martinez of the Red Sox to have at least one hit at -225 as offered at BetMGM Sportsbook.
  • Bet that both the Texas Rangers and the host Philadelphia Phillies will each score two or more runs by the completion of the third inning as offered at BetMGM Sportsbook.
  • Bet on the Orioles Cedric Mullins to have a home run at +500 as offered at BetMGM Sportsbook.
