Throughout the season, we will give you MLB betting advice each day, throwing in a few quick pitches for prop bets, Over-Under bets or moneyline bets on other games.

New York Yankees vs. Tampa Bay Rays

Two left-handed starting pitchers will face each other at Tropicana Field when the NY Yankees play the Rays at 6:40 p.m. ET today.

The Yankees will start Nestor Cortez, who is making his ninth start of the season with a 1.80 ERA and a 0.889 WHIP with 11 walks and 56 strikeouts. He has no walks in his last two starts.

The Rays will counter with Ryan Yarbrough, who has posted a 4.91 ERA and a 1.727 WHIP in his three starts.

What the Betting System Says About This Matchup

This betting system has earned a 35-17 record for 68% winning bets. It has averaged a +125-underdog bet making 28 units-per-unit wagered for a 60% ROI over the past five seasons.

Bet on home teams that are facing a pitcher that shutout a divisional foe in the previous game and starting a pitcher who walks no more than one batter in each of his last two starts.
The Yankees defeated the AL East divisional foe Baltimore Orioles 2-0 Wednesday and Cortez did not walk a batter in each of his last two starts.
I am betting on the Rays on the moneyline at +110 at BetMGM Sportsbook.

Milwaukee Brewers vs. St. Louis Cardinals

The Brewers go to St. Louis for a matchup of the top two teams in the National League Central division at 7:45 p.m. ET.
Eric Lauer will make his eight start of the season for the Brewers and has a 2.16 ERA and a 0.936 WHIP, with eight walks and 54 strikeouts.

Over his last three starts he has posted a 2.45 ERA and a 0.873 WHIP with three walks and 20 strikeouts.
The Cardinals will send out the veteran Adam Wainwright, who has posted a 2.87 ERA and a 1.191 WHIP in eight starts. In 47 innings, he has allowed 18 walks and has 36 strikeouts.

Wainwright is 3-0 record in his past three starts with a 1.35 ERA and a 0.700 WHIP. I give the edge in his elite pitching matchup to Wainwright.

What the Betting Angle Says

This MLB betting system has earned a 40-22 record, good for 65% winning bets over the past five seasons.

The requirements are to bet on home teams that are taking on a NL foe that is scoring at least 4.5 runs per game and has allowed no more than a single run in each of their past two games.

The Brewers won the last two games of a three-game series at San Diego and won 4-1 and 2-1 in those games.

I will bet on the Cardinals on the moneyline at -120 at BetMGM.
