Throughout the season, we will give you betting advice for a National League and American League game each day and throw in a few quick pitches for prop bets, Over-Under bets or moneyline bets on other games.

National League Best Bet

Milwaukee Brewers +105 vs Cincinnati Reds -105

The Milwaukee Brewers were expected to dominate the National League Central but have underperformed and find themselves 3-11 in June and in second place behind the division-leading St. Louis Cardinals.

The Reds started the season in a horrid fashion and were just 3-22 at one point. In June, however, the Red are 6-9 and have won three of their last four games. The Reds have built some positive momentum.

In tonight's game, I like the Reds on the moneyline, currently priced at -105 and would pay up to -110 for this bet.

American League Best Bet

New York Yankees -105 at Toronto Blue Jays -105

The Toronto Blue Jays are looking to reduce their 10-game deficit to the AL East-leading New York Yankees, starting Friday in a three-game series.

The Jays will send Ross Stripling to the mound. He is making his third successive start after coming into games in relief. Stripling has posted a 2.81 ERA, with just two walks and 24 strikeouts in 32 innings. Stripling is in top form, having not allowed an earned run in each of his last two starts.

The Yankees will start Jordan Montgomery, who has not received much run support from the best offense in MLB. Montgomery is just 2-1 in 12 starts with an excellent 2.70 ERA, with 10 walks and 51 strikeouts in 66 2/3 innings.

I like betting the Blue Jays on the moneyline Friday and would be willing to pay up to -115. I also like the Blue Jays to win two or more games in this three-game series.

Here is a situational angle in divisional matchups to support my bet on the Blue Jays.

  1. Bet on home teams in games played in June.
  2. Bet on home teams if the road team is favored by no more than -140 on the moneyline.
  3. Bet on home teams if the road team has outscored their opponents by 100 or more runs.

Quick Pitches

Here are other wager options for today’s MLB betting considerations.

  1. Take the Phillies’ Nick Castellanos to hit a home run +320
  2. Take the Braves’ Charlie Morton Over 6.5 strikeouts +108
  3. Take the Diamondbacks’ Madison Bumgarner Under 5.5 hits allowed +110
  4. Take the Dodgers’ Mookie Betts to have at least two hits +190
