Two of the best teams in the NBA square off Thursday when the Golden State Warriors take to the road for a nationally-televised TNT game at 7:30 p.m. ET to play the Milwaukee Bucks at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee.

We look at the matchup and offer our best NBA betting picks.

Bucks and Warriors Have Struggled Recently

The Warriors have lost three of their past four games and are coming off a 116-108 road defeat on Tuesday at the hands of the Memphis Grizzlies. The Bucks are coming off back-to-back road losses to the Charlotte Hornets and have lost and failed to cover the spread in four of their past five games.

The Bucks put together a six-game winning streak that saw them cover the spread in five games over the holidays but have gone ice cold since their New Year's Day 23-point win and cover over the New Orleans Pelicans.

The Bucks have problems at both ends of the court, starting with deterioration on the offensive end. They rank seventh in overall offensive efficiency but have dropped to 20th over their past three games.

The decline in offensive production is not because of personnel being injured or on the COVID-19 health and safety protocols but bad execution in the half-court schemes.

More alarming is that over the past three games, the Warriors are dead last in overall offensive efficiency and rank 12th for the season.

However, this edition of the Warriors is defensive-minded, one despite the heroics of Steph Curry and the return of Klay Thompson. The Warriors are the best and most efficient defensive team in the Association and rank second over the past three games.

So, the Warriors' issues are on the offensive end during this losing streak, a result of the return of Thompson and finding the new chemistry when he is on the floor with his mates.

How Warriors at Bucks Game Shapes Up

In this matchup, the Warriors have a decided edge because their top-ranked defense continues to play well. All-Star Draymond Green is out for the Warriors tonight, but the defense has played well in games that he has been unable to play.

The Bucks' Grayson Allen and George Hill remain sidelined in the NBA’s health and safety protocol and second-year forward Jordan Nwora has stepped up big in their absence.

In the Bucks' most recent loss, Nwora scored 18 points, but that contribution was not enough to offset the lingering problems at both ends of the court for the Bucks. Nwora will continue to see more minutes and is a wise choice for a DFS NBA lineup.

How You Should Bet Warriors at Bucks

An examination of the analytics from the omnipotent database reveals a solid betting opportunity on the Warriors tonight.

The Bucks are 12-27 ATS following back-to-back road games spanning the past two seasons. Moreover, they are 5-17 ATS following three consecutive road games spanning the last two seasons.

Warriors coach Steve Kerr is 38-21 ATS in road games after his team loses two of their last three games. Bucks skipper Steve Budenholzer is a horrid 1-10 ATS when hosting a team averaging nine or more steals per game. The Warriors are the sharp bet in this matchup.
