Detroit Pistons at New York Knicks

7:30 p.m. ET

Line: Knicks –7 | Total: 218 points

I am betting on the Pistons +7 points as offered at BetMGM.

The Knicks appear to be a team of castoffs and only time will tell if they can be a playoff contender.

The Pistons had a great win coming back from a double-digit deficit to defeat the Orlando Magic 113-109 and covered the spread by a single point priced as a 3-point favorite.

Pistons coach Dwane Casey will look to build on the positive momentum and look to get out to a 2-0 record after the Pistons posted the third-worst record at 23-59 straight-up (44-36-2 against the spread) last season.

I expect the Piston’s forward Bojan Bogdanovic to have a big game after scoring 24 points in 24 minutes against the Magic in the opener.

Situational Trends and Angles

  • The Knicks are 7-14-1 ATS (33%) after losing their previous game in overtime.
  • The Knicks are 14-26 ATS (35%) following a road loss and playing at home against a foe coming off a win.
  • The Knicks are 14-22 ATS (39%) following a road loss in which they shot 40% or worse from the field.
