March Madness piled up the upsets on Thursday and Friday nights. It nearly produced a big one as Princeton fell to Creighton late as the Bluejays finally pulled away. However, there are no more No. 1 seeds. That is the first time this has happened since 1979. Brackets were completely destroyed, but the Over seems to be making a comeback.

March Madness betting looks at these enticing Elite 8 matchups. Are there any good Overs or Unders? Will there be anything else that unexpectedly happens? Of course, there will. So, who will advance to the Final Four? Let’s dig into more matchups for March Madness Today.

March Madness Bets - Best Moneyline Bet for Elite 8

Gonzaga vs. Connecticut - Moneyline Bet on Gonzaga

Gonzaga and Connecticut rumble for a spot in the Final Four. Gonzaga (+135) can make shots when they need to. The Bulldogs never gave up, even when they were down 14 to UCLA. Even when UCLA fought back, Gonzaga’s 1-2 punch of Strawther and Timme delivered in the clutch.

The Huskies are very good. Connecticut ranks fifth in the Simple Rating System. They hammered Arkansas on Thursday night by more than 20 points, and Connecticut shot 57.4% from the field, including 45% from three-point range. Can Gonzaga slow that down? The Bulldogs figure to keep this game close.

Best Over/Under Bets Today - March Madness Elite 8

Miami (FL) vs. Texas - Over 149.5 points (-110)

Miami and Texas play Sunday in a Midwest Region battle that should feature great athleticism and pace. Texas is one of two Big 12 teams in the Elite Eight, and their pace frustrated Xavier in the first half. The Longhorns rode five players in double figures as they scored 80+ points for the second time in the tournament.

Miami shoots well and crashes the boards to generate more chances. Against Indiana and Houston, the Hurricanes kept pushing the ball up and down the floor. Nijel Pack can shoot the ball from deep, which should help push the Over.

Best Upset Pick For Elite 8

Miami vs. Texas - Upset Pick (+167)

Miami shot 50% or greater again on Thursday against one of the top defenses in the nation in Houston. The Cougars allowed their most points during the entire season (89). Texas has shown its might all season in the Big 12, but Miami is the hot team riding a wave of excellent guard play.

Texas yielded more and more points in each round. It’s not much, but again they are facing a relentless Hurricanes team on the boards and transition. It’s a style that could wear down the Longhorns late. Even versus Xavier, Texas allowed some wide-open looks.

Betting Trends Pick For Elite 8

Creighton vs. San Diego State - Over 133.5 points (-110)

Sportsbooks pegged this one early after both teams won. It has not shifted much in the opening hours. San Diego State has scored 70+ points in consecutive games for the first time in a month. The Aztecs had a four-game run in January, and Creighton will yield points.

Now, half of the public thinks the Over will connect here. San Diego State has not faced a balanced unit like Creighton. It wore down Princeton during the second half. The Aztecs can shoot over the top and possess a little more athleticism. Yes, the Over is six for eight this week.

Best Chances to Win March Madness - Futures Odds - Gonzaga - +400

Teams keep dwindling, yet Gonzaga still finds a way to stand. Can they deliver three more victories? Arguably, that may be the question regarding all eight remaining teams. Miami has been on some run. Connecticut has been incredible. However, Gonzaga, as constructed, is the only one recently to show the potential.

March Madness Betting projects Gonzaga below Connecticut and Texas, which boosts their wager a little. That is correct. The Bulldogs have been here several times and are less likely to wilt. Playing close games also bodes well going forward.
