Pittsburgh Steelers vs Indianapolis Colts

Monday, 8:15 p.m. ET, ESPN

Line: Colts -2.5 | Total: 39.5 points

I am betting on the Steelers +2.5 points as offered at Caesars Sportsbook.

This matchup of AFC foes will find it nearly impossible to match the overall excitement that each of the games had Sunday.  There were two games that were decided by two-point conversions in the waning seconds, and the Green Bay Packers and Philadelphia Eagles put on quite a show scoring 67 points in the Eagles' 37-30 win. The Eagles gained the most rushing yards (353) since 1948.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have won seven consecutive games (5-2 against the spread) over the Indianapolis Colts, marking the largest current streak by any franchise with 25 or more meetings between the two teams. The Colts last won 24-20 over the Steelers and covered the spread as 3.5-point home underdogs back on Nov. 9, 2008, in what was a classic Ben Roethlisberger vs Peyton Manning duel.

Situational Trends and Angles

  • Under head coach Mike Tomlin, the Steelers are 14-3 SU and ATS (82%) following a game in which they allowed 35 or more points.
  • Tomlin is 46-31-6 ATS (60%) when priced as a dog and 23-14-1 Under (62%) when priced as a dog and facing a non-divisional foe.
  • Tomlin is 10-4 SU betting the moneyline when facing an opponent that has won 40 to 49% of their games in all games played in the second half of the season.
