The NHL surprises us with eight more games on Tuesday night, all while the NBA season opens up.

There is some Game 5 in baseball and even an NLCS opener, too. Many sports are going on, and we hope you stick and stay with the hockey here at Gambling.com.

Time is short, so we will make this quick with a few options and picks.

Vancouver Canucks at Columbus Blue Jackets

American Sports Bettors need to learn this stat. Vancouver has now blown three multi-goal leads in the early season. While that will not last, its penalty kill has been putrid, and yet the feeling is goals could again be in abundance on Tuesday night.

Columbus is still without Patrik Laine, who was injured and not entirely skating with the team yet. This will happen soon. However, the Finnish sniper is out for tonight’s game. The Blue Jackets allow 35+ shots per game like it is candy. Vancouver yields goals like a soda can dispenser after the first period. This feels like a recipe for success.

The good news is that the Over is 6.0 at -120. There might be room for it to move up to 6.5. Both of these teams are capable of scoring and giving up goals. That opens the door for players and props alike.

The other bit of news that is encouraging is the three-way bet. Both teams carry plus value because the spread is almost even for tonight. So, the risk is lessened if one wants to side with Columbus in regulation at +130. There are even a few low-wager parlays to consider from the Blue Jackets’ side.

American Sports Bettors can check this out where Johnny Gaudreau scores, Columbus wins by two or more goals, and the teams combine for five or more goals. That fires in at +500. So $10 translates into a $50 profit if the parlay hits. That is not too shabby.

Watch the numbers on player props, especially with forwards like Johnny Gaudreau and J.T. Miller. Even Columbus scoring first at +130, has more value than Vancouver at +115. Honestly, Columbus is the home team. Honest.

Los Angeles Kings at Nashville Predators

The Los Angeles Kings are having a rough time this season. Expectations have made it challenging for them to gain steam. Then, there are the Nashville Predators. Nashville started well, but a two-game sweep at the hands of the Dallas Stars has left some considerable doubts. A team that can give up and scores goals versus a team with lousy puck luck. Hmmm.

Thankfully, it is still early in the season for both teams. Nashville’s goaltending the past two games has been a little off, too. Even Jusse Saros slumps from time to time. Despite that, Nashville stands at -160 on the moneylinee. However, their three-way number (no OT or shootout) rolls in at -105. Hey, 55 extra cents on the dollar is relatively high.

The Kings are averaging four goals per game but allowing 4.5 per contest. The number of shots and scoring chances yielded is not a surprise. In the last two games, Nashville has had problems finishing around the net. They had an expected goals for of 3.2 and scored one each game versus the Stars.

Keeping the score low is dicey tonight. Nashville keys in with their home crowd like few teams in the league. Dallas is a tough matchup, but Los Angeles will be less so. The growing feeling is that the Predators will score three or more times tonight and take home the W against a Kings team trying to stop the floodgates.

Some Picks And More To Chew On

  • Columbus Blue Jackets win in regulation at +130
  • Nashville and LA Kings Over 6.0 goals at -115
  • Filip Forsberg first goal - +1000
  • Parlay - Anytime goal scorers in Stamkos and Kucherov, with Tampa winning at +360

Good luck, and once again, thanks for reading!
