Game week 10 is here already in the Premier League, and the world’s eyes are drawn to Anfield for the monumental battle between Manchester City and Liverpool. Two newly promoted sides also meet in the top half of the table, while Arsenal looks to remain atop the division by defeating Leeds United.

Following is our betting advice for this weekend’s Premier League matches.

Game of the Week

Man City -125 at Liverpool +300

Either Liverpool or Manchester City has won the Premier League title every year since 2018, creating one of Europe’s great rivalries between the teams. They enter this meeting headed in opposite directions; Liverpool could struggle to get into the top four this season, while many predict City will walk away with the league title.

Liverpool did return to winning midweek against Rangers, as it smashed the Scottish side 7-1. Mohamed Salah scored the fastest-ever Champions League hat trick, in just six minutes and 12 seconds.

City is yet to taste defeat this season, but a recent 0-0 tie with Copenhagen in the Champions League did end a winning run of six games. Nevertheless, it has scored a stunning 33 goals this Premier League season. It should defeat a Liverpool team that’s in 10th place and has won only two of its eight games in the league.

City to win 3-1 is +1300 with DraftKings Sportsbook.

Best Bet of the Week

Chelsea -130 at Aston Villa +370

Entering the match between Chelsea and Aston Villa, Steven Gerrard is the odds-on favorite to be the next league manager to get fired. This comes after Villa tied with Leeds United and Nottingham Forest, dropping it to 16th place and uncomfortably close to the relegation zone.

Chelsea has been moving up under the leadership of new manager Graham Potter. The former Brighton head coach has not lost in his five games in charge of Chelsea, which is on a four-game win streak. In that time, the Blues have let in just one goal, in a 2-1 win over Crystal Palace, while it has registered a 3-0 win over the Wolves, a 3-0 win over Italian champions AC Milan, and another win over Milan, 2-0.

We don’t see how Chelsea loses to such a poor Villa team, and despite a Chelsea win being -130, it feels almost certain.

Chelsea to win 2-0 is +750 with FanDuel Sportsbook.

Team of Last Week

Newcastle United

After receiving lots of attention based on an ownership change, Newcastle United started slowly, winning one of its opening seven games in the Premier League. However, after beating Fulham and Brentford, it has scored nine goals in its past two games and moved up to sixth place.

Newcastle defeated Brentford last time out, hammering the Bees 5-1. Bruno Guimaraes was sensational, with two goals, and Jacob Murphy and Miguel Almiron scored a goal each. The Magpies had 16 shots in the game.

It looks as if they have got things going this season after a lot of hype to start.

Newcastle to beat Man United 2-1 is +1200 with FanDuel.

Player of Last Week

Gabriel Martinelli, Arsenal

Arsenal’s stunning form continued this past weekend with a 3-2 victory against Liverpool. The team has won five games in a row since losing to Manchester United back at the start of September, and Gabriel Martinelli grabbed the headlines in the most recent win over the Reds.

Martinelli scored in the first minute, registering the earliest goal in a game this season. The Brazilian turned Trent Alexander-Arnold inside out throughout the game and was a thorn in a relentless Liverpool team’s side all afternoon.

Martinelli later would assist Bukayo Saka for the second goal of the game and won player of the match honors. He is an easy choice or the player of the week.

Gabriel Martinelli to score anytime against Leeds is +190 with FanDuel.

Hardest Game to Call

West Ham +140 at Southampton +190

Two underwhelming teams will meet at St Mary's, with West Ham United three points ahead of Southampton. Each has scored eight goals total; West Ham has a better defensive record, with 10 goals conceded compared with Southampton's 17.

The Saints also have lost four in a row since a 2-1 win against Chelsea at the end of August, dropping games to the Wolves, Villa, Everton and Manchester City. In fact, only those inside the bottom three are in worse form right now, but they will have hope in one regard, as the Hammers have won only once away from home this season by beating Villa.

Neither team is racking up the goals, and the game could go either way, so we’re backing a tie.

A tie in this game is +245 with DraftKings.
