It’s one of the biggest games in the English soccer calendar every time it comes around. Yes, it’s FA Cup final weekend and we’re treated to a mouthwatering encounter that sees Manchester City and Manchester United meet in the first-ever Manchester derby FA Cup final.

We'll look at how the soccer betting experts see it and give our picks for this monumental game at England’s national stadium.

Manchester City to Win the FA Cup

As expected, City heads into this game as the huge favorite to defeat its city rivals at Wembley. This comes as City is trying for a treble of winning the Champions League, Premier League and the FA Cup.

United is the only team in English soccer history to win all three trophies in one season since the first-ever European Cup final 67 years ago. Now, the script has aligned perfectly for United to either stop City from doing what it did in 1998-99 or for City to get arguably its sweetest trophy lift ever.

In our opinion, however, City should win comfortably. The Premier League champions won the league by six points in the end and although it lost to Brentford on the final day of the season, it has only lost six games in the English football season. This means it holds a record of 35 wins and only six losses from 46 matches in England in 2022-23.

It also scored 94 goals in the Premier League season and made easy work of getting to the Champions League final by defeating Real Madrid 4-0 in the semifinals.

Combine this with injuries to key United players like Anthony Martial and Lisandro Martinez, and it only makes things easier for City. It is -375 to lift the trophy and -220 to win in regular time.

City to win, City to have over 5.5 corners, over 2.5 goals in the game and United over 1.5 cards is +472 with FanDuel Sportsbook.

Marcus Rashford to Be Involved is a Good Bet

Although we’re here singing City’s praises after another incredible season, we cannot overlook the excellent campaign from Marcus Rashford.

The United superstar was recently crowned the club’s Player of the Season and Players’ Player of the Season after scoring 30 goals in 55 games. This also sees the Englishman sit sixth on the list of most goals in a single season at United.

Rashford also has a good record against City and he should be involved yet again here. In fact, after netting the winning goal against City in their recent Premier League encounter, Rashford has now scored five goals and registered one assist in 17 games against City.

Rashford is +290 to score anytime in this FA Cup final, but at the very least, we expect him to get some shots away. Wembley is famous for being the biggest field in England and the United forward should also attempt a few shots from distance.

Marcus Rashford 2+ shots on target is +300 with DraftKings Sportsbook.

Consider Bet on Erling Haaland

Although we expect Rashford to be involved in some way, this wouldn’t be a clever pick without considering Erling Haaland.

Haaland is searching for his 53rd goal of the season. This involves 12 goals in 10 Champions League games, a record-breaking 36 goals in 35 Premier League matches, and three goals in three FA Cup games so far.

The City striker also scored a hat-trick against United earlier in the Premier League season and he will be happy to see Martinez not line up in defense.
