Top NFL Four-Team Parlay Bet to Consider Backing in Week 13

Three out of four ain’t bad, but in a parlay, it’s not quite good enough. We hit three of our four Thanksgiving picks in last week’s NFL betting tips but couldn’t cash on the Washington Redskins-Dallas Cowboys under as a big second half sunk us.

Let’s see if we can get one step closer and cash our Week 13 parlay:

Pick 1: Cleveland Browns (+6.5) at Houston Texans

I’m willing to take a flier with the Browns, who are getting nearly a touchdown in this matchup. The firing of head coach Hue Jackson has fired this team up. They fought valiantly in a loss to the Kansas City Chiefs and have since won two in a row.

The Browns have been quite competitive in road games this season as they nearly beat New Orleans, Oakland and Tampa Bay, and gave Pittsburgh a run for their money. They’re averaging 27.2 points per game on the road, which is the seventh-best mark in the NFL.

Houston is fresh off a Monday Night Football contest, which means they are on a short week. They’re fresh off a big divisional win and could be looking ahead to next week’s matchup with the Indianapolis Colts.

Houston is laying a touchdown but keep in mind that five of their eight wins this season have come by seven or less. Take the Browns with the points at 888Sport.

Pick #2: Denver Broncos (-4.5) at Cincinnati Bengals

After a narrow one-point win at the Los Angeles Chargers and a surprising home win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Broncos have put themselves in position to make the playoffs.

Yes, they are just 5-6 but look at their remaining schedule: at Cincinnati Bengals, at San Francisco 49ers, vs Cleveland Browns, at Oakland Raiders, vs Los Angeles Chargers.

Aside from the meeting with the Chargers – who they’ve already beaten – to end the season, this is an absolute breeze.

This week, the Broncos will get a shot at the struggling Bengals. Even with Andy Dalton under center, the Bengals had dropped five of six. Now they’ll be without Dalton as Jeff Driskel will earn his first NFL start.

The bigger issue for the Bengals is that their defense hasn’t been able to stop anyone. They’re allowing 36.2 points per game over their last six. More relevant to this matchup is the fact that they’re allowing the second-most rushing yards per game (147.5). The Broncos should win and cover.

Pick #3: Los Angeles Chargers at Pittsburgh Steelers (Over 51.5)

I’m eyeing the over in the Chargers-Steelers contest as we’ll see two explosive offenses on the field on Sunday. The Steelers defense has mostly been average but they do lead the NFL in sacks.

The issue is that the Chargers have given up just 20 (sixth-fewest), so Philip Rivers should still be able to operate. His unit is fourth in the NFL in yards per passing attempt (9.0) and the Steelers secondary is an average unit.

As for the other side of the ball, the Steelers are hard to stop at home. They average 35.4 points per game at home (compared to 23.2 on the road). They’re also coming off a back-to-back games where they were extremely sloppy, losing the turnover battle 7-0.

But Pittsburgh tends to play to the level of their competition. With a good opponent coming up, we’ll see their ‘A’ effort from the offense and the Chargers will keep up, pushing this game over the number. Bet the over at 888Sport.

Pick #4: Indianapolis Colts at Jacksonville Jaguars (Under 47.5)

What gets overlooked in the mess that is the Jaguars season is that the defense has still played well. Yes, they’ve been burned a few times but they are still No. 5 in yards and No. 8 in points. The challenge is that their offense is hanging them out to dry.

This week, they’re taking on the Colts, whose offense has been lighting up during the team’s five-game winning streak. However, four of those five were at home and the lone road game was at Oakland. They had been averaging 25.3 points per game prior to this hot streak where they’re averaging 34.6.

And keep in mind here that the Jags are starting Cody Kessler under center and won’t have Leonard Fournette (one-game suspension). Add it up I’d bet under 47.5 at 888Sport.
