Throughout the season, we will give you MLB betting advice each day on two MLB games.

We’ll also throw in a few quick pitches for prop bets, Over-Under bets or moneyline bets on other games.

National League

Atlanta Braves at Washington Nationals

7:05 p.m. ET

The Atlanta Braves won the first game of this three-game series against the NL East cellar-dwelling Washington Nationals and are road favorites for tonight’s game. The Braves go into tonight's game having won 12 consecutive games.

DraftKings has them at -250 moneyline favorites.

The Braves have their ace, Max Fried, on the hill, and the Nationals scratched Josiah Gray and elected to start right-hander Jackson Tetreault, making his MLB debut.

At Triple-A Rochester this year, Tetreault was 5-3 with a 4.19 ERA in 12 starts.

Fried is 6-2 with a 2.64 ERA. He is coming off two of his best starts. He threw eight shutout innings against the Colorado Rockies on June 3 in Denver, then allowed a run on eight hits with eight strikeouts and no walks over six innings in a 3-1 win over the visiting Pittsburgh Pirates on Thursday.

How Do Teams on 12 or More Game Winning Streaks do?

Teams that are priced as favorites of -150 or more on the moneyline that have won 12 or more consecutive games are 37-25, averaging a -214 favorite, but have produced a losing -10% ROI.

Fading these teams has produced a 12.44% ROI. Now, if they are priced as road favorites of at least -150, they are 5-0 on the moneyline and the Run Line, producing 41% and 75% ROIs respectively.

I am going to bet the Braves, using the -1.5 Run Line at -150 at DraftKings.

American League

Houston Astros at Texas Rangers

8:05 p.m. ET

Houston lost the first game of this three-game series against AL West foe Texas in Arlington.

The Astros have been inconsistent this season and have lost four of their last five games, but still have a 7.5-game lead over the Rangers.

The Astros’ will start Jose Urquidy, who is 4-0 in five starts with a 1.60 ERA and a 0.653 WHIP against the Rangers. However, he has posted a 7.20 ERA and a 2.067 WHIP over his last three starts.

The Astros’ bullpen has posted a 2.74 ERA and a 1.135 WHIP in 61 games, over 197 1/3 innings, with 195 strikeouts.

I am betting the Astros on the moneyline, boxed with Urquidy to start, as offered at -120 at Caesars.
