Following a thrilling start to the season, we're back with our MLS betting picks for game week 2.

St. Louis City will play out its first-ever MLS home game and the champions, Los Angeles FC, are in action for the first time after a week off last time out.

Here are our MLS picks for the weekend.

Portland Timbers (+490) at Los Angeles FC (-240)

LAFC did not play last weekend against LA Galaxy after a severe weather warning forced the game to be postponed until July 4.

We picked the MLS Cup winners to win the El Trafico last weekend, and we think they’ll get all three points this weekend, too. Portland beat Sporting Kansas City in their opening game, as Juan David Mosquera netted after six minutes.

However, it was far from a convincing victory, and LAFC should win here.

PICK: Los Angeles to win 2-1, 3-1 or 4-1 is +290 with FanDuel.

Houston Dynamo (+370) at New England Revolution (-165)

The Houston Dynamo lost to Cincinnati in Ohio last weekend, but it put in a solid performance. Tate Schmitt scored in the first half, and after registering seven shots on target and 63% of ball possession, there were a few positives to take from the game.

We backed New England to beat Charlotte and upset the odds last weekend, and Henry Kessler's late goal brought home the win. We think it’ll win again here.

PICK: New England to win and both teams to score is +195 with FanDuel.

D.C. United (+460) at Columbus Crew (-200)

After the Columbus Crew conceded four goals in a loss to the Philadelphia Union and D.C. United edged past Toronto in a five-goal thriller, this game has become tough to call.

We think the Crew’s home advantage should be enough to get all three points as it did score the first goal against Columbus and see 60% of the ball.

PICK: Cucho Hernandez to score anytime for Columbus is +160 with FanDuel.

Cincinnati (+240) at Orlando City (+100)

After picking up wins on opening weekend, Cincinnati and Orlando City will clash in Florida.

We’re picking Orlando to win this one after it put on a clinic on defense against the New York Red Bulls. Facundo Torres scored a penalty in its 1-0 win last time, and we think the Lions will get another narrow victory.

PICK: Orlando to win 2-1 is +800 with FanDuel.

Toronto (+340) at Atlanta United (-170)

Toronto will be desperate to win this weekend against Atlanta after a loss to D.C. United last week. However, it has another tough test after Atlanta edged past the San Jose Earthquakes.

It was a stunning win for Atlanta, as Thiago Almada scored in the 93rd and 99th minute of the game - it was one of the latest wins in MLS history.

After dominating most of the game against San Jose, we think another home win will happen here.

PICK: Atlanta to win 1-0, 2-0 or 3-0 is +320 with FanDuel.

Philadelphia Union (+105) at Inter Miami (+210)

It’s the biggest game of the lot this weekend when Philadelphia Union heads to Inter Miami. Both sides are expected to finish in the playoffs this season, and this is a chance for either side to get an early upper hand.

Despite winning against Montreal, we expect Miami to lose here after the Union’s stunning win over Columbus. Daniel Gazdag continued his sensational goalscoring form that day with two goals, as Julian Carranza did the same with a brace of his own.

PICK: Philadelphia to win and Daniel Gazdag to score anytime is +316 with FanDuel.

Nashville (+250) at New York Red Bulls (+100)

Nashville recorded a fantastic 2-0 victory over New York City last weekend on goals from Jacob Shaffelburg and Walker Zimmerman. The Red Bulls narrowly lost to Orlando and never looked like troubling the Lions throughout.

We think this is the season Nashville comes on, and it’ll win again.

PICK: Nashville to win 2-1, 3-1 or 4-1 is +850 with FanDuel.

New York City (+165) at Chicago Fire (+140)

This is set to be Chicago Fire’s first MLS game of the season, and it comes into this match off two wins and one tie in its exhibition games that also saw it score 11 goals.

New York was stunned by Nashville in its opening game last weekend. Barely anything separates the two with the sportsbooks, and we think a tie is in order here.

PICK: A 0-0 or 1-1 tie is +330 with FanDuel.

Montreal (+220) at Austin (-105)

Both Montreal and Austin are looking to bounce back from defeats last time out, but it is Austin that is favored here.

Josh Wolff's men were blown away by a late rally from St. Louis City last weekend, and Austin has no doubt spent the days ever since patching up its defensive woes.

Montreal struggled against Miami, and we think it’ll lose again here.

PICK: Austin to win and both teams to score is +270 with FanDuel.

Charlotte (+160) at St. Louis City (+140)

As just mentioned, St. Louis stunned Austin against the odds in Texas in its first-ever MLS game. Now in its first home game of the season, we expect another win.

Just as St. Louis won away from home, Charlotte lost on its own turf.

PICK: St. Louis City to win by exactly 1 goal is +330 with FanDuel.

LA Galaxy (+220) at Dallas (+105)

LA Galaxy finally kicks off its 27th season in MLS this weekend with a trip to Dallas.

While the Galaxy had its game postponed, Dallas was stunned by Minnesota in a game it really should have won. Dallas had 11 shots, 63% of the ball, and nine corners against the Loons, and it now comes into this one low on confidence.

After the chaos of last week, a tie seems like a sensible bet here.

PICK: A 1-1 tie is +550 with FanDuel.

Kansas City (+230) at Colorado Rapids (-105)

Although it is the favorite to beat Kansas City, Colorado will be hard to pick after getting smashed 4-0 by the Seattle Sounders.

Nevertheless, Peter Vermes’ side looked equally as poor against Portland Timbers as it did throughout last season, so a Colorado win seems to be on the cards. It will likely be a victory with a low scoreline, however.

PICK: Colorado to win 1-0 is +900 with FanDuel.

Real Salt Lake (+360) at Seattle Sounders (-155)

Jordan Morris stole the show last weekend for Seattle with two goals, as Heber and Cristian Roldan scored in a fantastic 4-0 win over Colorado.

Real Salt Lake defeated Vancouver with two late goals in the game, but it looked weak defensively after conceding 18 shots to the Whitecaps.

After such a fantastic victory, Seattle is an easy choice to win here.

PICK: Seattle to win 2-0 is +800

Vancouver Whitecaps (+240) at San Jose Earthquakes (-110)

San Jose (69 goals conceded) and Vancouver (57 goals conceded) were the worst defensive sides in the Western Conference last season, and the two will meet this weekend in a tough game to call.

Both teams lost 2-1 last weekend after taking a 1-0 lead in the first half. In truth, no outcome here would be too surprising, so we’re picking a few goals and both to get at least one goal.

PICK: Both teams to score and over 2.5 goals in the game is -115 with FanDuel.
