As the 2023 NFL Draft draws closer and closer, we take a quick look at some of the best prop bets to make.

Here at gambling.com, we take an educated guess at some of the more polarizing props on the top NFL betting sites.

Jahmyr Gibbs Drafted In The First Round

Again, we take a calculated risk with an SEC player who had a few impressive games rushing for Alabama last year. Gibbs only had 151 carries for 953 yards. However, pro scouts and teams have been enamored with his pass-catching ability. He had 44 receptions for 444 yards in 2022. That included two biggest catches against Kansas State for 66 more yards.

Most likely, Gibbs would get picked in the first round because a team moved up to draft the 5-foot-11, 200-pound running back. Among our props, Zach Charbonnet (+900) could be a longer-shot flier. However, Gibbs is more likely because of name recognition and the conference.

Total Wide Receivers Drafted In The First Round (3.5)

These are risks, but as many as four wide receivers could go in the first round. Oddly enough, the tipping point in some circles was Quentin Johnston from TCU. The game-breaker, much in the mold of Tennessee's Jalin Hyatt, can make some unbelievable plays down the field. Johnston was impressive in essential stretches this season.

While some question his consistency, the idea that he could drop out of the first round seems outlandish. Jaxson Smith-Njigba (Ohio State), Zay Flowers (Boston College), and Jordan Addison (USC) feel like late-round firsts that are locked in. The thought process is one more receiver hears their name called on Thursday night.

Zay Flowers - Under 22.5

Speaking of the wide receiver from Boston College, this is another prop that may tilt toward the minus sign by Thursday. Flowers is moving up draft boards and was far from the first round before the combines. The Eagles’ wide-out has several fits between picks 15 and 22.

Two more notable teams might be Seattle at 20 (if it doesn't trade its second pick) and Baltimore at 22. Just because the Ravens signed Odell Beckham Jr. mean they are done with wide receivers. If anything, Flowers would be an excellent fit for Lamar Jackson. His versatility could be quite the match with the Ravens.

Hendon Hooker - Under 31.5

The quarterback was a +420 longshot last week to get drafted on Thursday night. Hooker has quite a skill set but needs work.

His route progression is nowhere near the level of a Bryce Young. However, the Tennesee quarterback can say he beat Alabama.

Again, Hooker comes across as a bit of a project with good mobility. His arm is somewhat underrated, and his stock is rising.

Does a team take a chance on him at the tail end of Thursday night? It’s getting more and more possible.

Tyree Wilson To Go With The Second Pick

This would be the prop to make the smallest wager. If the Houston Texans hold on to this pick, don't be shocked if they go with an Edge player, not Will Levis. Is Levis a smokescreen? That’s the question of the week. Wilson has moved up past Will Anderson, which was a bit of a jolt.

It will be interesting to see where the Texans go here. The idea they choose a defensive player would not be that much of a surprise. Now, this all boils down to which Edge rusher. Wilson is a heck of a player from Texas Tech. Most pundits are not worried about his foot which kept him from doing workouts.

This expects to be quite a fun draft, and we will have more props as Thursday night gets closer. Good luck!
