The CONCACAF Gold Cup final is upon us this weekend as Mexico aims to win the title for a record ninth time. It faces off against Panama at the SoFi Stadium in California, and we’ve put together our three best soccer betting picks for the biggest CONCACAF game of the year.

Mexico to Get a Comfortable Win
Despite a lot of attention falling on the shoulders of the USA after its win in the National League final, Mexico has been the favorite to win the Gold Cup since the first game.
It has only lost to Qatar at the tournament, but even then, the defeat meant nothing as Mexico had already qualified out of the group stages.
El Tri managed to beat Jamaica with ease in the semi-finals with two goals in the first 30 minutes of their 3-0 win. At the same time, although Panama did beat the USA in the semi-finals, it had to do so on a fortunate penalty shootout and took 99 minutes to score its only goal of the game.
Mexico is -405 to lift the cup and -185 to win on the moneyline. Regardless, we think it will be a comfortable win for it.
Henry Martin to Score
A lot was expected of Mexico’s latest goalscoring phenom after Henry Martin scored 27 goals in the recent Liga MX season.
He has scored twice at the Gold Cup now after netting in the first two minutes of the semi-finals battle with Jamaica, and should he score one more goal for Mexico in 2023, it would mark his best goalscoring year with it.
Martin’s other goal came against Haiti, and in both the matches he has scored, the Mexican has been the first player to hit the back of the net.
In what has been the best goalscoring season of his professional career, we think Martin will be the difference once again for Mexico.
Mexico to Make a Shutout
Following on from a 3-0 win against Jamaica in the last round, Mexico has now made three shutouts in its five games at the Gold Cup so far. In this period, El Tri has only conceded two goals, as Qatar beat them 1-0 after a 3-1 victory against Haiti.
What’s more, Panama took 99 minutes to score against the USA and only made it this far because of a penalty shootout victory against it. In total, Panama has scored 11 goals in five Gold Cup games, which although impressive, four of those did come in one game when it beat Qatar 4-0 in the quarter-finals.
We expect Panama to miss the target against the best defense at the Gold Cup.
