Welcome to our weekly parlay feature, where we’ll take a different spin on making picks. Instead of the basic NFL betting markets, we’re playing three separate parlays in the hopes of amplifying our payout. We’ll stick to the format each week and hopefully cash in more than a few times.

Underdog Moneyline Parlay

The play: Falcons +132 & Bengals +135 at SugarHouse Online Casino & Sportsbook

The Falcons are a three-point underdog in Philadelphia on opening night, but there are far too many questions about the Eagles right now.

Is Carson Wentz going to play? Is he healthy? Is this team ready to walk around with a bull’s-eye on its back after playing the role of the underdog all of last season?

The Falcons are a quality team and they’re looking for some revenge. They lost to the Eagles in the playoffs last year and they’ll be focused here to get their 2018 campaign started on a high note.

For our second underdog play, we’re rolling with the Bengals. They’ve looked crisp in the preseason – especially the defense and running game. Yes, the Colts have Andrew Luck back, but he’s still working his way back.

And the Colts have other issues too, such as a shaky offensive line and a questionable defense. Don’t be surprised if the Bengals go on the road and pull the outright upset.

Totals Parlay of the Week

The play: HOU-NE over 51 & BUF-BAL under 41 at SugarHouse

The Texans and Patriots square off in a game that has one of the highest totals on the board. As you might recall, these teams squared off in a classic last season when the Patriots needed a last-second miracle to win 36-33.

We’re looking for a similar scoreline here, as both teams have elite quarterbacks and quality offenses, but question marks on defense.

For our second pick, we’re looking at an under in the Buffalo Bills and Baltimore Ravens game.

While the Ravens offense has looked competent in the preseason – especially Joe Flacco, who looks revived – the Bills offense has looked nothing short of pathetic.

The Bills are likely to start Nathan Peterman at quarterback and while he’s been efficient in the preseason, the regular season is a different animal. The bigger concern here is that the Bills have a pathetic offensive line, which is going to make everything difficult for them.

We’re expecting the Ravens to do most of the scoring, so while this is a low total, that’s the reason we’re project this game to go under.

Four-Team Parlay of the Week

The play: Panthers -3, Chargers -3.5, Texans +6.5, Jaguars -3 at SugarHouse

For our four-game parlay of the week, we’re rolling with three favorites and a dog.

Starting with the Panthers, it’s more of a bet against the Cowboys. Dallas’ offensive line is beat up and its passing game is a question mark. The Panthers defense should be able to keep Ezekiel Elliott under wraps and that will make it tough for Dallas to get the win.

For our second pick, we’re rolling with the Chargers. The Chiefs defense has looked absolutely pathetic in the preseason, and while those were only exhibition games, we expect that to carry over. The Chargers have a number of offensive weapons and shouldn’t have a problem moving the ball.

Our lone dog of the week is Houston, which are playing at New England. Of course, New England is always a tough place to play, but the Patriots are usually weaker in September than the other months of the season.

Remember, they were 2-2 in September last year with home losses to Kansas City and Carolina, and they nearly lost to Houston. And don’t forget that the Patriots are without Julian Edelman (suspension) for the first four games.

Lastly, we’ll look for the Jaguars to win and cover for us. The Jags have one of the league’s best defenses. Although they are on the road in New York in this contest, the Giants offense is still a work in progress and the defense is so-so.

The Jaguars defensive line should dominate, and if the Giants can’t get Saquon Barkley going to balance out the offense, this could be a really tough matchup for them. On defense, the Giants questionable run defense should get beat up as well.
